10-day-old newborn baby in Nghe An was abandoned on the side of the road in the middle of a cold night.

At about 7:45 p.m. on the evening of January 11, 2021, Thanh Lam Commune Police Department, Thanh Chuong District received a report from the people that there was 01newborn babyleft on the side of Highway 46C, the steep pine hill section in Hamlet 5, Thanh Lam Commune, Thanh Chuong District.

After receiving the information, the Commune Police force arrived at the scene. Next to the newborn baby girl, about 10 days old, weighing about 3.5 kg, there was a red plastic basket containing baby items such as pants, shirts, diapers, towels, earrings, milk... and a letter. The content of the letter: "Due to family circumstances, I cannot raise the child. I hope someone will adopt this child. I sincerely thank you! I am sorry to you."

The Commune Police Department took the newborn baby and the red plastic basket to the Commune Health Station for examination. The baby's health condition is currently stable.

While waiting for the authoritieslooking for relatives, temporarily the officers and soldiers of the Commune Police Department are raising and taking care of the child.
