Boy dies after injection

(Baonghean.vn)- A 3-month-old boy died after receiving the 5-in-1 vaccine at the Quang Phong commune health station (Que Phong).

Officials and people came to offer condolences to the child's family.

Mr. Quang Van Thieng, Vice Chairman of Quang Phong Commune People's Committee, said: At around 9:30 am on October 20, Lo Tuan Truong (born on July 4, 2015), son of Lo Van Muoi in Quang Phong Commune, was taken by relatives to the Quang Phong Commune Health Center for expanded vaccination. However, a few minutes after receiving the 5-in-1 vaccine, the baby fainted and died shortly thereafter. This vaccine helps children prevent diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, polio and Haemophilus influenzae type B infection in children.

District and commune officials came to express their condolences, encourage and support the family in organizing the child's funeral. The cause of the child's death is currently being investigated by the authorities./.
