Boy died because of being poisoned by stepmother
Wanting to keep her husband from leaving, the woman gave her husband's stepchild water mixed with pesticide to drink with the intention of making him sick constantly.
On April 11, Quynh Nhai District Police (Son La) said they were detaining Lo Thi Pung (31 years old) to clarify the act of murder, according to Article 123 of the 2015 Penal Code.

According to the police, at around 2:00 p.m. on April 7, Pung called Lo Van Tuan (6 years old, her husband's stepchild) who was living with his grandparents to come to her house to play. Pung then gave Tuan water mixed with weed killer, causing the victim to die that same afternoon.
Pung khai has been married for 5 years to a husband who was married and had children. Due to conflicts with her husband,Pung thought of a way to force Tuan to drink weed killer to make him sick all the time so that her husband would not leave her.
In mid-2016 in Ho Chi Minh City, Tran Le Thi Xuan Loan (29 years old) was in debt so she bought pesticide and forced her 6-year-old daughter to drink it to commit suicide. The girl later died, Loan escaped death and was sentenced to 10 years in prison for murder. In Quang Ninh, while angry with his wife, Ngo Van Phu (26 years old) mixed weed killer with sugar water and forced his eldest daughter to drink it, causing her death. Phu was later prosecuted for killing his own child. |
