Cancer worsens, artist Giang Coi has to fight for his life every day

"I pray for a miracle to come to him. But because in addition to cancer, Mr. Giang has many other underlying diseases such as respiratory failure, pneumonia, diabetes, tuberculosis, cirrhosis... so his health deteriorates very quickly. Every day I still call to ask about him and update him on his situation. The previous times, when we video called, I saw that he could still smile, but these past few days he hasn't been able to smile anymore.
According to his daughter and the doctor, for nearly 20 days now, Mr. Giang has not been able to lie down, only sit, because he cannot breathe. He also cannot eat directly because the tumor is pressing on his esophagus, he cannot swallow normally so he has to have a path to eat straight into his stomach.
These past few days, he has been in a lot of pain and hasn’t been able to sleep all night. His body has started to swell up. His daughter Ngoc Anh sent me a picture but I didn’t dare look at it. I encouraged him to be optimistic, not to worry about anything, and to focus on his treatment.
Now, the epidemic is complicated, so the hospital only allows one family member to take care of him, because everyone who comes to take care of him must be tested for Covid-19 very carefully, so in the past few days, only Ngoc Anh has been taking care of her father. His children are outside, cooking food every day and sending it to the security guard to provide for their father and sister in the hospital," artist Tra My revealed further.

In the letter written to Tra My, artist Giang Coi thanked her and artist Quoc Anh for calling for everyone to help him when he was seriously ill. He also thanked his colleagues such as: People's Artist Tran Nhuong, People's Artist Minh Hoa, Meritorious Artist Do Ky, People's Artist Lan Huong, Meritorious Artist Tien Quang, Kien "beard", Thanh Huong, Nguyen Lop, Trung Hieu... and many other brothers and sisters who encouraged, visited and sent gifts to help him overcome his illness and prolong his life.
"I was touched by everyone's feelings and ashamed of myself. I was too subjective, thinking that I would have two years to complete everything, but that was not the case. Those two years were spent struggling with immense physical pain, considering, deciding, repaying... Mentally, now I am more tense than a guitar string and death is always lurking at the door," said artist Giang Coi.
The male artist also revealed that he reminded his daughter to use all the money people sent him to pay for treatment and not spend it on anything else.
