During their marriage, Be Hai suspected his wife of having an affair, so he became jealous and often had conflicts, so Quynh filed for divorce.
While waiting for the court to decide, Ms. Quynh returned to her parents' house in Ba Lang ward, Cai Rang district to live. Be Hai rented a house in Le Binh ward, the same district.
On the evening of December 29, 2019, Be Hai called Ms. Quynh to ask about her child, but an argument broke out between the two.
Baby Hai was angry and decided to stab Quynh to vent his anger. He took a Thai knife, hid it on his person and ran to his wife's house.
When he arrived, he saw his wife opening the gate to go out. Thinking that his wife was going out with another man while they were not divorced, Bé Hai was angry. He pushed Quỳnh to the floor, then took a knife and stabbed her repeatedly.
Neighbors heard the cry for help and ran to call for help. Be Hai was scared, threw the knife at the scene, got on the motorbike and drove back to his rented room.
Ms. Quynh was taken to the hospital for emergency care, but died due to severe injuries.
After committing the crime, Be Hai tried to commit suicide by electrocution, but failed, so he went to the police to surrender.
