When he reached Tan Canh commune (Dak To district), a young man riding a motorbike in the opposite direction threw a rock, breaking the windshield. The broken glass injured driver Tho and another passenger. After turning around and chasing the motorbike for 7 km, driver Tho temporarily seized the motorbike, and the police later arrested the culprit.
At the police station, the young man gave his name as Phan Van Hoang. He said he was driving a motorbike on Ho Chi Minh Road from Ngoc Hoi District to Dak To District. On the way, he saw many cars going in the opposite direction with their headlights on, causing glare, so he was angry.
Then, Hoang picked up 7-8 stones from the roadside and put them in the basket of his motorbike to throw at the car with its headlights on.
Before throwing rocks at Ngoc Thong's car, Hoang also threw rocks at a taxi and another passenger bus.
