This year, the national top scorer of Block C is a female student from Cua Lo Ward (Nghe An). That is Nguyen Tran Yen Nhi from Cua Lo High School with a convincing score of 29.75 points, including 2 10s in History and Geography.

EndHigh school graduation exam,Nguyen Tran Yen Nhi is not too worried about her History and Geography exam scores because she got perfect scores. Nhi believes that these are two subjects that are within students' ability and do not pose a challenge.

As for Literature, even though she won the second prize in the provincial excellent student competition for grade 12, Nhi only gave herself a score of more than 9 points. Personally, she shared that she really likes the new exam structure because it promotes students' creativity, reading comprehension, perception, and analysis: I am quite satisfied with the Literature test but still think that this is a difficult subject to get a perfect score. For me, a score of 9.75 is a satisfactory score and I think I have tried my best.

Nguyen Tran Yen Nhi studied all subjects equally and for 3 consecutive years of high school, she was an excellent student. However, because of her dream of becoming a Literature teacher, following her mother's and family's profession, since grade 10, Nhi decided to study block C (Literature - History - Geography).

Social subjects are often about diligence and hard work, but Nhi has built a fairly scientific plan and roadmap for her studies. In the early stages, Nhi focused on basic knowledge and only started practicing questions when she completed the knowledge in the textbooks: She completed the program from the first semester and from the second semester, she started studying in depth and practicing questions to improve her test-taking skills. This also helps her easily systemize her knowledge and remember important content.

According to Yen Nhi, even though it is a social subject, you should not memorize: The graduation exam has a high level of differentiation, so if you only memorize it and do not understand the essence, you will not be able to do the classified questions. In addition, the new exam also has true/false questions, short answers... These questions need to be analyzed, looking at the important issues to find the correct answer, without confusion - Yen Nhi added.

In Literature, although Nhi has a solid foundation in both knowledge and test-taking skills, she is not subjective. During the process of doing the test, Nhi outlines the essay, quantifies the essay with appropriate time for each part and each question. To get a high score, the writer must also have his or her own writing style and style, express his or her own point of view and need to connect with reality.

Nguyen Tran Yen Nhi also said that because she built a learning path early, she did not take extra classes outside but mainly only took extra classes at school.

The rest of the time, Nhi studies at home with a clear timetable, making a specific plan for each subject. If she encounters a difficult question, Nhi will research it online or ask her teacher. If she gets any questions wrong, Nhi will write them down in a small notebook to learn from experience and avoid similar mistakes. This solid way of studying not only helps Nhi "learn to the point where she is sure" and avoid small mistakes, but also helps her achieve perfect scores in exams.

Although this is the first year of taking the exam under the 2018 General Education Program, Yen Nhi believes that candidates have an advantage because they can choose subjects that are beneficial to them. However, this is also a challenge because candidates also need to demonstrate their abilities to differentiate between good and excellent.

With this achievement, Nguyen Tran Yen Nhi is also the first candidate to bring the valedictorian title to Cua Lo High School. Teacher Nguyen Hong Hai - Principal of the school said: "This is a great joy not only for the student's family but also for the school. Yen Nhi herself is a determined student, her father passed away early but she always strives, tries, is open-minded and serious in her studies. I also believe that Nhi's results in this year's exam season will be a motivation for the school's students to excel in their studies and achieve more achievements in the upcoming exam seasons."
