Attending the opening ceremony were comrade Nguyen Thi Kim Chi - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of Provincial Agencies, along with representatives of the Department of Planning and Investment, Department of Education and Training, Nghe An Association of Outstanding Enterprises, and leaders of Thanh Chuong district.

Huong Tien Secondary School has 12 classes with 360 students. The total number of staff, teachers and employees is 31 people. Most of the students at the school are children of ethnic minorities, resettled in the Ban Ve Hydropower Plant. Life is difficult economically, there is no separate boarding school, focusing on students from far away, and the interest of parents in their children's education is limited.

Currently, the school's facilities have been severely damaged after a long time of use, such as classrooms, functional rooms, practice rooms, desks, chairs, boards, etc., which have significantly affected the teaching and learning activities of teachers and students.

Despite having to teach and learn in extremely difficult conditions, in the 2021-2022 school year, the school has made efforts to overcome difficulties and fulfill its tasks. In the 2021-2022 school year, the school has 2 excellent homeroom teachers at the district level and 7 excellent subject teachers.District level; 11 students were recognized as excellent students at the district level, 4 students achieved district level in science and technology...

At the end of the 2021-2022 school year, the school achieved the title of Cultural Unit and was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Director of the Nghe An Department of Education and Training for its outstanding achievements in coordination work. The rate of secondary school graduates reached 96%.
