(Baonghean.vn) - Secretary of the commune's Youth Union, Mr. Pham Khac Chien, Secretary of the Youth Union of Nghi Dien commune, Nghi Loc district, is not only an exemplary and enthusiastic Youth Union Secretary, but also a prestigious person, "very skillful" in doing mass mobilization work to gather and unite youth in the religious areas.

To achieve this, he did not mind the sun or rain, morning or night, and was enthusiastic in mass mobilization work. He was present in every work in the commune, contributing to the development of the movements in the area.

Mr. Chien said: "Nghi Dien commune has 13 branches, of which 10 are in the religious areas. Most of the youth lack jobs locally and have to go far away to work, so gathering them is difficult. In 2012, under the direction of the Party Committee and Nghi Loc District Youth Union, the Standing Committee of the Commune Youth Union proactively registered to build a "Skilled Mass Mobilization" model to mobilize, unite, and gather youth in the religious areas."

Implementing the model, Mr. Chien and the Standing Committee of the Commune Youth Union focused on perfecting and building a team of qualified and dedicated Youth Union branch cadres and youth movement members.

And more than anyone else, as a leader and a prestigious person in the local youth movement for many years, Mr. Chien has actively promoted and mobilized youth union members to participate in activities in youth organizations.

Ms. Phan Thi Ngoc Anh - Youth Union Branch 2, Nghi Dien Commune said: Previously, because she did not fully understand the Youth Union organization, she did not participate in activities. However, after being encouraged by Mr. Chien, she tried to participate in activities at the Youth Union Branch 2. Gradually, the Youth Union activities have become an indispensable activity for her.

Ms. Anh said: When participating in the activities of the Youth Union, I feel that I have matured a lot. I have the opportunity to interact, learn and become more confident than before. Not only that, I also have a fuller understanding of the Youth Union organization.

Along with that, Mr. Chien also directly participated in activities at the Youth Union branches to guide and assist the Youth Union branch secretary and deputy secretary in preparing the content and methods of running the activities. In particular, he also actively coordinated with the Farmers' Association to open training courses on transferring science and technology in livestock production to local youth union members. Building an economic development model is considered a key task to gather and attract union members and youth in religious areas.

Through the implementation process, with the support of the government, sectors and organizations at the commune level, a number of models and typical economic examples have initially been formed among the youth. These are the aluminum and glass mechanical production models of Mr. Pham Dinh Thai in Youth Union Branch 9, Mr. Nguyen Duc Mao in Youth Union Branch 10, creating jobs for 5 to 6 workers. Each model generates an income of 200 to 300 million VND a year; the concrete service models creating jobs for dozens of workers of Mr. Nguyen Van Can in Youth Union Branch 11, Nguyen Van Thanh in Youth Union Branch 13.

Thanks to actively solving local employment problems, the situation of young people leaving their hometowns to work far away has decreased a lot, creating favorable conditions for attracting and gathering them to participate in activities of the Youth Union and Association.

With the efforts of Mr. Pham Khac Chien in mobilizing, uniting and gathering young people in the religious community in Nghi Dien, the quality of activities of the local Youth Union has had positive changes.

Every year, 12/13 youth union branches are classified as excellent and one is quite strong. There are no average or weak youth union branches. In particular, the rate of youth union members increased from 54% in 2012 to 75% in 2015.
