On the afternoon of October 30, comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee led a working delegation to inspect the flooding situation in Nghi Loc district.
Accompanying the delegation were: Lieutenant General Tran Vo Dung - Political Commissar of Military Region 4, Major General Ha Tho Binh - Deputy Commander of Military Region 4, Major General Vo Trong Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Provincial Police; Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Ha - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command; Colonel Tran Hai Binh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Commander of the Provincial Border Guard, and leaders of agencies and units.

The heavy rain on October 29-30 caused many communes in Nghi Loc district to be deeply flooded. According to the report of Nghi Loc district People's Committee, by the afternoon of October 30, the whole district had more than 1,600 households flooded. National Highway 48E, Phuong Tich bridge section from Nghi Hoa to Nghi Phuong, Nghi Cong Bac to Nghi My, Nghi Lam to Nghi Kieu; Nghi Dong to Nghi Hung and some inter-commune roads have been completely cut off.
On the night of October 29, Nghi Loc district mobilized motorboats to evacuate hundreds of people to safety.

The working delegation led by the Provincial Party Secretary inspected the flood situation in My Hoa hamlet, Nghi My commune. This is the deepest flooded area in Nghi Loc district. The entire hamlet has 125 households that were flooded from 1 to 1.5 meters deep and had to be evacuated to a safe place.

Visiting the people of My Hoa hamlet who are being evacuated at the commune People's Committee headquarters, comrade Thai Thanh Quy encouraged and shared the difficulties and losses of the people and requested the commune and district authorities to have a plan to ensure absolute safety for people in flooded areas.
