Nghe An Provincial Party Secretary hands over the first houses in the program to support house construction for the poor and people with housing difficulties
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 16, in Chieu Luu commune, Ky Son district (Nghe An), the Steering Committee for mobilizing support for building houses for the poor and people with housing difficulties in Nghe An province coordinated with the Provincial Police to organize the handover of houses in Ky Son district.

Attending the program were comrades: Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Steering Committee; Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee; Pham Trong Hoang - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office; Major General Pham The Tung - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police; Bui Dinh Long - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and leaders of departments, branches and 6 border districts of Nghe An.

Before the program, Nghe An Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy and the working delegation of the Provincial Steering Committee directly went to survey the situation in Hong Tien village, Chieu Luu commune; visited and encouraged the family of Mr. Vi Van Thom, a poor household with special difficulties and loss of working capacity, and poor households such as Kha Van Thang and Nguyen Van Nam who were supported to build houses.
In the whole Chieu Luu commune, 65 households have new houses out of a total of 123 households that have benefited. 11 villages in the whole commune will strive to complete all 123 houses before March 25, 2023.

Next, at Luu Tien village, Chieu Luu commune, the handover ceremony of 7 houses to 7 households of Hong Tien and Luu Tien villages took place briefly, but very warmly and affectionately. Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy and leaders of the province, the provincial police and Ky Son district directly performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony, handing over the house to Mr. Cut Van An's household, a poor household of Luu Tien village.

The first houses handed over are part of the support program of Nghe An Provincial Police. Accordingly, in response to the program, the Ministry of Public Security and the Provincial Police supported the construction of 2,420 houses for 2,420 poor households and people with housing difficulties in 6 border districts of Nghe An province: Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Que Phong, Con Cuong, Anh Son, Thanh Chuong.
Of which, 1,420 houses from the Ministry of Public Security's mobilization and support were distributed in 27 border communes in the districts of Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Que Phong, Con Cuong, Anh Son, Thanh Chuong.Source: Provincial Police mobilized and supported the remaining communes of Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Que Phong districts with the following numbers: Ky Son 500 houses, Tuong Duong 300 houses, Que Phong: 200 houses. Each house has a construction area of 46.5 m2with a total cost of 50 million VND/house, the foundation alone costs 3 - 5 million VND from local mobilization.

The fact that the Provincial Police handed over the first houses in the whole province shows the drastic direction, high responsibility, scientific and effective implementation of the police force, headed by the Director. Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Thai Thanh Quy emphasized that this vividly reflects the spirit of "serving the people" of the Provincial Police force, this is also a very practical work to celebrate the 75th anniversary of implementing the 6 teachings of Uncle Ho to the People's Police.
Sharing the joy of the first poor and disadvantaged households to receive housing support, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy commended and acknowledged the efforts, contributions, and effective ways of the Provincial Police, Ky Son District, Chieu Luu Commune; Hong Tien Village, Luu Tien Village and the villagers to construct and complete the sturdy, warm and affectionate houses.

This result proves that the policy and decision to support and build houses for the poor and those with housing difficulties of the Provincial Party Standing Committee is in line with the people's wishes, receiving high consensus from the people, and the active participation of units and localities. One of the typical, pioneering, and proactive units responding to the implementation of this policy is the Public Security force.
The success in completing and handing over houses to households, although only the first step, is the motivation for the Provincial Steering Committee, units, localities and people in the whole province to be determined and make the highest effort to complete the support for building "Great Unity" houses for households.

On the occasion of handing over houses to the poor in Chieu Luu commune, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy requested the provincial police force to pay attention, evaluate comprehensively, methodically, fully and in detail to gain experience, and proceed to deploy simultaneously and widely throughout the province.
It is known that the police force will strive to complete 2,420 houses before August 19, 2023, and Ky Son district alone will try to complete 500 houses before June 30, 2023. This is a big challenge, a great determination, requiring extremely responsible participation to complete.

During the implementation process, the Provincial Party Secretary hopes that the police force will listen to the opinions and thoughts of the people to study, supplement and adjust to suit the reality, culture and living conditions of the people in the mountainous areas. Along with that, strive to exceed the schedule but must ensure the legality and quality of the project.
For local Party committees and authorities, comrade Thai Thanh Quy emphasized that it is necessary to identify this as an extremely important task, requiring a truly drastic and highly responsible engagement from the leaders, thereby mobilizing the entire political system to get involved; strengthening propaganda work so that people understand, support, accept, agree and participate.
For localities, the Provincial Party Secretary suggested that they must carefully review and manage the transferred resources and the resources of charitable organizations and individuals. The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, relevant departments, branches, and units create all conditions, closely monitor, support, and encourage so that poor and disadvantaged households can soon have new houses, stabilize their lives, and move forward.

For households receiving housing support from this program, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy suggested close coordination with agencies, units, and local authorities to prepare and hand over the site to ensure construction is on schedule.
“For households receiving houses today, this should be considered a great motivation to move forward in the process of economic development, stabilize life, build a better life; participate in ensuring security and order in the area, protect the peace of the homeland in mountainous and border areas,” said the head of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee.
On the part of the Provincial Steering Committee, Standing Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized the spirit of always accompanying local Party committees and authorities to effectively implement the program.
Up to now, through a survey, Nghe An province has 15,300 poor households and households facing housing difficulties, including 9,200 households in need of building new houses and more than 6,100 households in need of house repairs.

On February 10, 2023, Nghe An Provincial Party Committee issued Directive No. 21 on strengthening the Party's leadership in mobilizing and supporting the construction and repair of houses for the poor in Nghe An province. In addition, Nghe An province has established a Steering Committee headed by the Provincial Party Secretary.
Responding to this extremely important and deeply humane program, in less than 1 month since its launch, by the end of February 2023, 128 units had supported the construction of 10,184 houses, equivalent to 521,193 billion VND.
