Nghe An Provincial Party Secretary sets out 5 tasks to improve the effectiveness of "National Border Defense Day"

Reporting at the conference, comrade Nguyen Van Huy said that over the past 10 years, all levels, sectors and localities have implemented the content of "National Border Guard Day" quite comprehensively. The implementation process has had centralized and unified direction. Localities and units have been active, proactive, creative, and organized many good models and new ways of doing things with rich content.

Therefore, the movement to build and protect the border has been deployed regularly and increasingly in-depth. It not only contributes to protecting the border but also contributes to raising people's knowledge, building solidarity, promoting production development, consolidating security and order in the area....

From these results, over the past 10 years, Nghe An Border Guard has been awarded the title of Hero of the Armed Forces by the Party and State for the second time, 1 collective and 1 individual were awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister, 134 collectives and 152 individuals were awarded at all levels...

At the conference, delegates also presented many papers pointing out existing limitations and lessons learned, and outlined directions and tasks to continue to effectively implement the "National Border Defense Day".

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh highly appreciated the achievements of Nghe An Border Guard in recent times. However, to promote these achievements, the Provincial Party Secretary also proposed 5 tasks that Party committees, authorities at all levels and Border Guard need to focus on in the coming time.

The first task, according to the Provincial Party Secretary, is that propaganda work must go one step ahead. First of all, propaganda work must be stepped up among the border guards, then among local officials and people.

The second task is to implement the "National Border Defense Day" under the comprehensive leadership of Party committees at all levels, the administration of the government, and the close coordination between the Fatherland Front and member units and organizations. In particular, attention should be paid to the core role in the advisory and implementation work of the Border Guard force in building a national border defense.

The third task is to build a strong Border Guard force in all aspects to firmly protect border security and sovereignty, resolutely fight and suppress all types of crimes, maintain security and order, and create public trust in the government.

The fourth task is to mobilize the participation and combined strength of the entire political system in the spirit of solidarity, collaboration, responsibility, for the common cause.

The fifth task is to regularly research and closely follow the locality and practical situation to innovate forms and methods and improve the effectiveness and quality of mass mobilization work.

“Do a good job of forecasting the situation and conducting border protection activities from afar, pay attention to building a strong border area in all aspects. Pay attention to and do a good job of building and replicating advanced examples and good models that have proven effective,” the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized.

Also at the conference, comrade Le Xuan Dai awarded Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee to 10 groups and 10 individuals for 10 years of implementing "National Border Guard Day". Major General Do Danh Vuong also awarded the Border Guard Command's Medal for Border Security and Sovereignty to 4 groups and 6 individuals.
