Provincial Party Secretary: Promoting the leadership and supervision role of war veterans with party committees and authorities
(Baonghean.vn) - That is the wish of comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee at the working session with the Provincial Veterans Association held on the afternoon of October 6.
Also attending the meeting were comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of a number of relevant departments and branches.
On the side of the Provincial Veterans Association, there were Major General Nguyen Dinh Minh - Member of the Central Standing Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Veterans Association; officials and members of the Provincial Veterans Association.

After reporting on some key work contents from now until the end of the year, the Provincial Association of War Veterans requested that leaders at all levels regularly pay attention to directing the work of the Association; request to maintain the current staff (14 comrades); request to adjust the policy on age regulations for the position of Vice President of the Association of War Veterans at the commune level "first time holding the position is 60 years old or younger, participating in work is not over 65 years old".
The Association also hopes to receive additional funding to eliminate temporary houses for war veterans in difficult circumstances, because there are currently 3,146 dilapidated houses that need to be repaired.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Le Xuan Dai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the contributions of the cadres and members of the Veterans Association in building and propagating the policies of the Party and the State, especially in giving opinions, introducing and participating in People's Councils at all levels; mobilizing cadres and veterans to be exemplary in election work, in mobilizing new rural construction, poverty reduction, developing economic models, and repaying gratitude.
The Association of War Veterans at all levels has been actively coordinating with localities in maintaining political security and social order and safety in many fields; especially in educating the younger generation in patriotic traditions.
Regarding the policy on housing repair for veterans, comrade Le Xuan Dai said that currently in the province there are 26,048 houses in need of repair, however only 1,088 houses have been repaired, the provincial leaders will request superiors to consider and resolve the issue as soon as possible.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh hopes that veterans will continue to make positive contributions to the construction and development of the province.
Prestigious veterans at the grassroots level need to participate more closely with authorities at all levels in propagating and mobilizing people to properly implement religious policies, actively contributing to promoting the implementation of Resolution 4 of the Central Committee on combating ideological, political, moral and lifestyle degradation among cadres and party members.

The provincial leaders are orienting to promote openness and dialogue among the people. To do that, it is necessary to have the contribution of Veterans Association members in propagating the Party's policies on political ideology, educating traditions, and helping to build a truly clean and strong grassroots Party organization.
In addition, each veteran will be a political factor leading and supervising the activities of the Party Committee and grassroots government to ensure both leadership and transparency, wholeheartedly serving the people.
Comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh also acknowledged the role and contributions of the Provincial Veterans Association in recent activities; agreed to create favorable conditions for the Association to organize congresses well; requested relevant committees to supplement recommendations on the age requirements for the Vice President of the Commune-level Veterans Association in accordance with Official Dispatch 37/CV-CCB. Regarding support for the elimination of temporary housing for members, the provincial leaders will propose to higher levels for adjustments as soon as possible.
