(Baonghean.vn) - Impressed by the spirit of solidarity between religions and non-religious people of hamlet 6, Tan Son commune, Do Luong district, in the coming time, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy hopes that the people will continue to promote it to build a typical hamlet of the whole province.

On the afternoon of November 18, comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council visited Hamlet 6, Tan Son Commune, Do Luong District to celebrate the "National Great Unity Festival" with local people on the occasion of the 91st anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Traditional Day (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2021).

Also attending were comrade Ho Le Ngoc - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee; Phung Thanh Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Secretary of Do Luong District Party Committee; representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province; and leaders of Do Luong district.

Arriving at Hamlet 6, Tan Son Commune, before entering the hamlet cultural house to attend the Great Unity Festival, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy went through a number of hamlets to visit, chat, and learn about the lives of local people; visited and gave gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Tan, 101 years old this year, whose two children are martyrs.

Hamlet 6, Tan Son commune has 368 households, 1,318 people, of which 115 are Catholic households with 446 people. This is one of the areas with a long history of residential settlement, rich in revolutionary tradition. Catholic and non-Catholic people live in harmony and solidarity, which is one of the province's models of "Catholic and non-Catholic solidarity in building new rural areas".

The economic development emulation movement has been implemented effectively, many households have promoted the strength of civil carpentry, created jobs and stable income, and have been recognized by the province as a craft village since 2015. Currently, the whole hamlet has only 6 poor, disadvantaged and vulnerable households.

The hamlet has known how to promote its role as the main subject, mobilizing the strength of the people to participate in building the new countryside. People in the hamlet have contributed money and labor to build rural roads, high-voltage electricity for lighting, village gates, cultural houses... Currently, the whole hamlet is actively building an advanced new countryside, a model new countryside.

Education is taken care of, many families have children passing university, college, and vocational training. The work of building cultural life, health care, arts, and sports is focused on, the rate of cultural families reaches 88%, many Catholic households are typical "living a good life, following religion, respecting God, and loving the country".

The activities of gratitude and social security have been actively responded by the people. In particular, during the recent Covid-19 epidemic, the people of Hamlet 6, Tan Son Commune were one of the units of the commune that actively took the lead in donating money and food to support the people of Ho Chi Minh City and Vinh City; it is one of the localities that has done a very good job in preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic, with no infected people.

Sharing the joy of the national solidarity festival with local people, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy commended and congratulated the results that the cadres and people of Hamlet 6, Tan Son Commune have achieved in the past time.

The Great Unity Day is an opportunity to sit together to evaluate and recognize the achievements that have been made and the areas that need to be overcome; an opportunity to strengthen the spirit of solidarity, honor the strength of the community to join hands to effectively carry out political tasks, develop the economy, culture and society from each person, each family, each village.

Impressed by the spirit of solidarity between religions and non-religious people in the area, in the coming time, the Provincial Party Secretary hopes that the people of the hamlet will continue to maintain and promote the spirit of solidarity to build the hamlet in particular, Tan Son commune in general, to become a typical hamlet and commune of the whole province; continue to successfully build an advanced new rural hamlet by 2023 according to the Resolution of the Commune Party Committee.

The head of the Provincial Party Committee also shared his wish that the cadres and people of the hamlet actively change the economic structure in accordance with the advantages and traditions of the locality, especially maintaining and developing to improve the efficiency of the carpentry village.

Currently, in the hamlet there are still 6 poor, disadvantaged and vulnerable households. Comrade Thai Thanh Quy requested the Executive Committee and people with better conditions in the hamlet to continue to care and help so that these households have better economic development conditions and sustainable poverty reduction.

Along with that, continue to pay careful attention to the work of gratitude, remembering the source of drinking water; social security work, especially for the elderly, the lonely, the sick; continue to focus on taking care of children's education, especially in epidemic conditions, children have to study online at home.

In particular, the Provincial Party Secretary hopes and requests that people continue to promote vigilance and a high sense of responsibility in preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic so that Hamlet 6 in particular, as well as Tan Son Commune in general, can maintain a safe green zone; contribute to the community and people of the whole country and the whole province to effectively implement the safe and flexible adaptation strategy, effectively control the Covid-19 epidemic, develop the socio-economy, and ensure the health and safety of the people.

On this occasion, the Provincial Party Secretary presented a picture of Uncle Ho and Uncle Ton, along with gifts to the residential area of ​​hamlet 6, Tan Son commune; at the same time, from the socialized source, donated 50 million VND to the Tan Son commune's scholarship fund and planted a solidarity tree in the hamlet's cultural house.
