(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 21, comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council inspected and surveyed a number of locations to attract investors.

Also attending were comrade Bui Dinh Long - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of a number of departments, branches and districts: Nghi Loc, Dien Chau.

The Provincial Party Secretary and the delegation directly inspected the location where the Cua Lo Deep Water Port Investment and Business Project will be implemented in Nghi Thiet commune.

According to the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board, the Cua Lo deep-water port construction and business investment project has a project scale of building 1 wharf for 30,000DWT ships, 252m long; 1 wharf for 50,000DWT ships, 285m long; 3,132m long approach bridge; 1,450m long breakwater and 7km of shipping channel. Capacity of 4-5 million tons of goods per year. Land use area of ​​20 hectares with a total investment capital of 3,300 billion VND.

According to the Project to adjust the overall master plan for the construction of the Southeast Nghe An Economic Zone to 2040, currently being submitted to the Ministry of Construction for appraisal, the planning orientation for the port logistics area of ​​about 110 hectares is being oriented, linked with the planning of Cua Lo deep-water port.

Along with that, along both sides of D4 Road (National Highway 7C) connecting from National Highway 1A to Cua Lo Deepwater Port, the land fund is basically adjusted to serve the planning of the port logistics area and clean industrial park associated with port logistics; the area is about 440 hectares. Thus, associated with Cua Lo Deepwater Port, the planning orientation of the port logistics area and clean industrial park associated with port logistics has a total area of ​​about 550 hectares.

During the inspection, after listening to the report on planning orientation, some difficulties and obstacles, Nghe An Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy pointed out specific solutions and handling directions for the province's key infrastructure projects to be implemented soon, in order to remove bottlenecks, improve competitiveness and investment attraction environment of the province.

Also during the working program, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy and the working delegation surveyed locations in three coastal communes: Nghi Tien, Nghi Yen (Nghi Loc) and Dien Trung (Dien Chau); Xuan Duong Lake area, Dien Phu commune (Dien Chau).

These are locations in the Southeast Economic Zone with great potential to attract investors in the field of sports real estate associated with resorts.

According to the general policy of the province, along with attracting industrial projects, the Southeast Economic Zone will attract investors in the fields of resorts and sports to have more unique tourism products and high-quality resorts, in order to effectively exploit tourism potential, meet the needs of investors and experts coming to work, as well as attract tourists to the province.

In an exchange with leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and related departments, branches and localities, the head of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized the viewpoint that when attracting and implementing projects, it is necessary to ensure the environment, harmonize the interests of people and businesses, especially the need to minimize resettlement of people. Projects also need to limit the ratio of real estate business and focus on exploiting tourism and sports potential.

Also in the program, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy and the working delegation inspected the progress of the Bai Lu Eco-tourism Project of Bai Lu Investment and Business Joint Stock Company.

This is a project approved by the People's Committee of Nghe An province in the investment policy in Decision No. 1441/QD-UBND.DT dated May 3, 2006 and approved the adjustment of the project investment policy in Decision No. 1710/QD-UBND dated June 3, 2020, with a scale of 51.29 hectares. The total investment after adjustment is 2,500 billion VND.

Currently, the investor is implementing the construction of technical infrastructure systems, including: Leveling; roads; water supply; rainwater drainage; wastewater drainage, power supply system; lighting and communication system.

Up to now, about 70% of the infrastructure construction of 98 villas has been completed, expected to be completed by October 2022. According to the investor, the 5-star hotel project will start construction in June 2022.

In an exchange with the investor, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy requested the unit to focus resources to ensure progress and put the project into operation as planned.

The working group also inspected the field at Nghi Yen Solid Waste Treatment Complex, in Hamlet 4, Nghi Yen Commune, Nghi Loc District, which has been approved by the Provincial People's Committee for detailed construction planning with a total area of ​​50.36 hectares, including functional areas: Sanitary landfill area (22.54 hectares); Wastewater treatment lake area (8.73 hectares); Microbiological fertilizer processing area (1.82 hectares); Waste treatment area for the future (5.63 hectares); Reception area (2.66 hectares); Surface drainage ditch and trees (4.98 hectares); Internal road (2 hectares); Road to waste treatment area (2 hectares).

Currently, there are 2 projects approved by the Provincial People's Committee for investment policy, the Management Board of Dong Nam Economic Zone has issued a valid Investment Registration Certificate at Nghi Yen Solid Waste Treatment Complex, with a design capacity of 600 tons/day and night of domestic solid waste and 3 tons/day and night of medical waste.

However, in reality, the waste reception and treatment is currently being handled by Nghe An Environmental and Urban Development Joint Stock Company with a capacity of 470 tons/day (at peak time). Meanwhile, the domestic solid waste treatment plant of Galax Joint Stock Company has temporarily stopped processing since March 16, 2020 to research and change new technology, ensuring environmental protection regulations under the direction of the Provincial People's Committee. Currently, a number of investors are also interested in proposing to invest in a waste-to-energy incineration plant in this area.

Through the inspection of the actual situation, the Provincial Party Secretary requested that it is necessary to survey the model of some localities before selecting investors. At the same time, investors must meet the capacity in terms of capital, technique, technology and experience; technology and processing equipment must be modern, ensuring synchronous and advanced requirements and ensuring environmental hygiene according to regulations.
