Next, working with the delegation were Ms. Almut Rosne - member of the Board of Directors and associates of the German Business Association in the Asia-Pacific region.

The Association of German Enterprises in the Asia-Pacific region (OAV) was founded in 1900 and is currently the largest business association in Germany with more than 450 members operating in all fields, including large industrial corporations, medium-sized manufacturing companies, trading companies, banks, insurance companies and many service providers.
OAV's mission is to promote the development of economic relations with the rapidly growing Asia-Pacific region by providing professional support to German companies in their business activities in Asia; providing independent information and assessments on trends and potential to its members; and providing knowledge about industrialized, developing and emerging countries as well as less developed markets in the region.

As a strong business network with good institutional links, OAV cooperates closely with ministries, agencies and embassies in Germany and Asia-Pacific countries, as well as German foreign trade promotion partner organizations.
At the beginning of the meeting, Nghe An Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy thanked Ms. Almut Rosne and OAV members for their warm welcome and taking the time to work with the delegation.
Appreciating the role of the Association in connecting and advising member businesses to learn about and invest in the Asia-Pacific region in general and Vietnam in particular, the head of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee discussed that through this meeting, the province has the opportunity to introduce and provide full and detailed information about Nghe An, thereby hoping that OAV will support German businesses to learn about cooperation and investment opportunities in the province.

Sharing her good feelings and memories of many visits to Nghe An during her time working at the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (Eurocham), Ms. Almut Rosne highly appreciated the potential for cooperation with the province and expressed her willingness to support and connect to promote the cooperation process between the two sides.
In particular, in the context of Vietnam being in the Asia-Pacific region, which accounts for more than 60% of the world's population and has a very dynamically developing economy, Ms. Almut Rosne said that in 2023, in a survey with OAV member businesses, the results showed that Vietnam ranked second in the region in terms of interest from German businesses.
At the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy proposed: OAV should create conditions for Nghe An to participate in introducing its potential, advantages, investment attraction policies and answer questions from members in the Association's activities in Germany; at the same time, support the connection with the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Vietnam so that Nghe An can work specifically to prepare for the above activities.

Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy hopes that if the Association organizes a delegation for member enterprises to survey the investment and business environment in Vietnam, they will arrange time to work and learn about the potential and investment advantages in Nghe An, which has made a lot of progress.
Ms. Almut Rosne highly appreciated Nghe An's advantages when it has very good tax incentive policies in industrial parks; at the same time, the province has advantages in human resources; as well as a favorable geographical location for developing seaports, logistics, and connecting the East-West Economic Corridor.
Vinh City is identified as an urban area of special importance in the development of Vietnam, and has had a close, traditional relationship with Germany since the time of the German Democratic Republic.

On that basis, she said, it is expected that in 2025, the Association will organize a survey delegation in Vietnam in the field of electronics industry and digital transformation to seek investment opportunities in the production of electronic components.
At the same time, the Association wishes to connect with Nghe An to train highly skilled workers to work in Germany, as well as discuss cooperation in the fields of agriculture and minerals.
Therefore, Ms. Almut Rosne hopes that through the survey team organized by the Association, member businesses will learn about the actual situation and discuss and exchange specific cooperation.
Expressing his gratitude for OAV's comments and goodwill to cooperate, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy acknowledged that the survey trip will be an opportunity for Nghe An and the Association to strengthen cooperation.

After the working trip to Germany, Nghe An province will connect with the Association's electronics partners who are investing in Nghe An; at the same time, it will send a document to the Association with specific information about Nghe An's potential and investment attraction policies, the possibility of cooperation in vocational training, agriculture; connecting transport infrastructure, seaports, developing the marine economy and officially propose the delegation to survey, research and cooperate.
“We hope that starting from this working visit, the relationship between Nghe An and the Association will become even deeper,” the Provincial Party Secretary said, expressing hope that in the near future, members of the German Business Association in the Asia-Pacific region will invest in Nghe An.
On this occasion, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy respectfully invited Ms. Almut Rosne and her colleagues to return to visit Nghe An province.
