Party Central Committee Secretary Nguyen Xuan Thang: Innovation in legal thinking in Party Congress documents

On August 9, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences held a scientific workshop "Continuing to innovate legal thinking to serve the cause of national development".

Speaking at the workshop, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Professor-Doctor Nguyen Xuan Thang highly appreciated the initiative of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences in organizing the scientific workshop "Continuing to innovate legal thinking to serve the cause of national development".

Continuing to innovate legal thinking aims to better serve the cause of national innovation and add that thinking to the documents of the 13th National Congress of the Party.

In particular, regarding the drafting of documents for the 13th National Congress of the Party, Party Central Committee Secretary Nguyen Xuan Thang suggested issues that need to be seriously discussed and clarified at the workshop. These are the issues of renewing legal thinking about society, political power, state power, the Party, human rights, citizen rights, the Vietnamese rule of law state, law, rule of law, democracy and democratization.

Party Central Committee Secretary Nguyen Xuan Thang believes that with the active and responsible response of legal scientists, the workshop will make important contributions to the drafting of documents for the 13th National Party Congress.

At the workshop, managers, scientists, researchers and leading experts in social sciences and humanities across the country contributed their opinions on four major contents: comprehensive, systematic and inclusive innovation of legal thinking until 2030 and vision to 2045; ensuring and promoting people's freedom, safety and potential in the information technology society; narrowing the gap between theory and practice.

The suggestions and recommendations at the Workshop were compiled and served as the basis for contributing ideas to the drafting of documents for the 13th National Congress of the Party./.
