Chairman Tran Thanh Man: "The Front must demonstrate its role in gathering and promoting solidarity"

(Baonghean.vn) - This is the key task emphasized by Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Tran Thanh Man at the opening of the 2018 Conference of Chairmen of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of provinces and cities held on the morning of July 4 in Nghe An.

On the afternoon of July 4, after a working day listening to the opinions of the delegates, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Tran Thanh Man delivered a concluding speech at the 2018 Conference of Chairmen of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of provinces and cities.

At the conference, there were 14 comments from the Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of localities who directly contributed their opinions at the conference hall on the drafts: Guidelines for developing the Political Report of the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels; Outline of the Political Report of the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and contributions to the Draft Submission of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Charter (amended).

Accordingly, opinions highly appreciated the quality of the content of the drafts and documents of the 9th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. The Central Front has clearly demonstrated the spirit of innovation in guiding and directing the Fatherland Front system at all levels in many very specific and practical tasks, contributing to enhancing the position of the Front and being a reliable support for the Fatherland Front system at all levels. Since then, the majority of the Fatherland Fronts at all levels have promptly responded to issues that have arisen in society in recent times such as: preaching strange religions, gathering large crowds in some provinces and cities.

In addition, the delegates frankly pointed out the advantages and difficulties in implementing Regulation 282/QD-TW dated April 1, 2015 and the process of implementing the arrangement and organization of the apparatus in the spirit of Resolution 18 of the 6th Central Committee of the 12th Party Congress. From there, it was suggested that the Central Front should promptly provide specific instructions to the local Fronts to unify the implementation according to the Central's innovation requirements.

In addition, opinions have assessed and contributed to the work of grasping and reflecting the legitimate thoughts and aspirations of the people and the work of social supervision and criticism, especially at the grassroots level.

Appreciating the responsible working spirit and many enthusiastic contributions of the delegates, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Tran Thanh Man emphasized the key tasks in the last 6 months of 2018.

Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Tran Thanh Man suggested that leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels, especially the head, need to further promote the spirit of initiative, promote the role of democratic consultation, thereby gaining the support of local Party committees and authorities and the consensus of the people, actively participating in economic and social development, ensuring national defense and security.

The Front at all levels needs to be "close to the people, close to the people, understand the people", closely and closely reflect the thoughts and aspirations of the people, and at the same time perform well the role of social supervision and criticism to contribute to Party and government building, thereby promoting the prestige of Front cadres among the people.

Improve the quality of patriotic emulation campaigns and movements, focusing on the organization and implementation. "We must be selective, giving top priority to the key and important issues to create breakthroughs" - the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front stated.

Comrade Tran Thanh Man also suggested that people-to-people diplomacy must be carried out synchronously and further promoted, not only in international diplomacy, but also domestically, in order to contribute to maintaining solidarity and ensuring security and social order.

Regarding the implementation of Regulation 282/QD-TW and Resolution 18 of the 12th Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Tran Thanh Man affirmed that the Party Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will soon work with the Central Organizing Committee to review and remove difficulties and obstacles. In addition, the opinions of the delegates will be selected by the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and the opinions of the delegates will be incorporated into the draft documents of the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
