Mr. Biden criticized Mr. Trump for "running away" in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. |
“Throughout my life,Donald Trump“He ran away from the problems he faced. In the context of this crisis, the current crisis, when the president needs to play a leading role, he did not take it. He was paralyzed, did not take the necessary measures, he panicked, and America paid the highest price of all countries,” the politician said.
According to the Democratic leader, out of fear of "financial market panic" and reduced re-election chances, the incumbent President hid the American people about the possible consequences of the pandemic.
Earlier, when speaking to voters in Philadelphia, Mr. Biden made a mistake about the number of deaths in this country. He mentioned the number 200 million, instead of 200 thousand.
This isn’t the first time the Democratic candidate has confused numbers when citing coronavirus death data. In June, for example, in Pennsylvania, he said 120 million people had died due to the spread of COVID-19.
President Donald Trump, Biden's opponent in the November 3 presidential election, has criticized Biden for the above $120 million mistake, calling the politician "scary stupid."
Earlier, on September 18, Biden blamed Trump for the high death rate in the US due to coronavirus.
According to Johns Hopkins University, more than 6.83 million cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the United States, with 199,756 deaths. On both counts, the United States leads the world.
