BIDV supports Nghe An with 300 million VND to overcome flood damage
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 20, the Provincial Flood Relief Reception Committee held a ceremony to receive donations from Nghe An people affected by floods from the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), Nghe An branch.
Attending the reception ceremony were comrade Le Minh Thong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of the leadership of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province.

From October 13 to 16, heavy rains in Nghe An province caused flooding in some localities, causing damage to people's lives, property, houses and crops.
In the province, 5 people died; 13 houses collapsed; 8,222 households were flooded. Production losses included more than 2,230 hectares of rice fields being flooded, of which nearly 1,000 hectares were completely lost; the remaining area lost 50-70% of its area; over 8,000 hectares of winter corn and various vegetables were damaged, of which more than 5,789 hectares were completely lost... Total estimated damage was more than 529 billion VND.

BIDV Nghe An branch has donated 300 million VND from the unit's welfare fund to Nghe An province to share and support families affected by the recent floods. In addition, the Bank will also directly hand over 10 million VND/household to 5 families whose members died in the floods.
