Continuous rain from last night to this morning, August 17, in Nghe An has caused many roads in wards and communes to be heavily flooded, forcing people and vehicles to wade through water.

After a night of running from the flood, by the morning of July 23, hundreds of houses in Tuong Duong commune, Nghe An province were still submerged in water. Many houses were still flooded up to the roof, and Highway 7 was so deeply flooded that it was impassable.
The flood rose too quickly, Muong Xen (Nghe An) was submerged in water, many places were flooded up to the necks of adults, people fled the flood at night.

Tonight (July 22), due to prolonged heavy rain, rising water levels of the Nam Mo River, and the release of floodwaters from hydroelectric plants, many areas in Muong Xen Commune (former Ky Son District) and along National Highway 7 were severely flooded. The water rose so quickly that people had to evacuate urgently at night, and many households were unable to save their belongings.
