Turning media into a 'bridge' to convey science and technology
(Baonghean.vn) - Speaking at the 2019 Conference of Science and Technology Communication Collaborators, Director of the Department of Science and Technology Tran Quoc Thanh emphasized: It is necessary to constantly innovate communication work on science and technology so that each publication will become a useful "bridge" to bring advances in science and technology into all areas of life.
On the afternoon of December 5, Nghe An Department of Science and Technology organized the 2019 Conference of Science and Technology Communication Collaborators with many new contents, closely linked to the requirements of innovation from practice. The conference was attended by more than 100 collaborators inside and outside the province.
In 2019, the Department of Science and Technology's science and technology communication activities took place actively and effectively in all three forms: print newspapers, television newspapers and electronic information channels.
With the enthusiastic and effective participation of the team of collaborators, the media products have brought new perspectives and new advances in the scientific and technological activities of the country in general and Nghe An province in particular; the sections in each publication are increasingly diverse and rich, meeting the goal of improving understanding and promoting the application of scientific advances in life. In particular, in the fields of agriculture, health, inventions, scientific and technological innovations... are increasingly receiving positive reviews from readers.

Discussing at the conference, delegates highly appreciated the progress in innovation and improving the quality of propaganda in the field of science and technology. These are important premises that contribute to supporting policy makers in proposing more appropriate management and investment mechanisms.
However, delegates also pointed out the remaining limitations when there is still a lack of articles with practical applications and social criticism. The articles on economics, industry, the 4.0 technology revolution and propaganda on policies and guidelines of the Central and local governments are still thin and lack depth. Therefore, in the coming time, it is necessary to develop reasonable plans and strategies so that media publications can be improved in both content and form, increasing the "attractiveness and appeal" to the general public.

Thanking and accepting the enthusiastic and responsible contributions of delegates and collaborators, Director of the Department of Science and Technology Tran Quoc Thanh said that in the coming time, more attention will be paid to introducing the results of effective topics and projects, spreading and replicating advanced models in production practices. At the same time, continuing to increase works with high scientific content, discovery and criticism; focusing on articles on economics, propagating the Party and State's policies and guidelines.
To do that, the important factor lies in the system of collaborators, which are researchers, scientists at the central and local levels, press reporters, young scientists with creative and innovative thinking. With clear strategies and goals, the department will continuously expand and develop the system of collaborators with increasingly improved connections and quality.
