Promoting the teaching of President Ho Chi Minh "Emulation is patriotism, patriotism requires emulation", in the past 5 years, Nghe An Industry and Trade sector has effectively implemented many extensive emulation movements, associated with the key political tasks and socio-economic development goals of the province. Under the drastic and flexible direction, the emulation movement has created positive changes in the awareness and actions of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the whole sector.

Many movements have made a clear mark such as: "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", "Good advice, creative work", "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style", competitions in administrative reform, digital transformation, protecting consumer rights, building new rural areas...
From 2020 to present, the industrial production value of the whole province has grown impressively, estimated at 118,170 billion VND in 2025, an average growth rate of 13%/year. Export turnover is estimated at 4.5 billion USD in 2025, nearly double that of 2020, the market has expanded to 150 countries and territories. Total retail sales of goods and consumer services also maintained a growth rate of nearly 13%/year.

Notably, in the movement to promote initiatives, the industry has recorded 12 technical solutions that have been applied in practice, with a value of more than 13.6 billion VND. These initiatives not only help businesses optimize production processes and save costs, but also enhance the competitiveness of Nghe An products in domestic and foreign markets.

Many typical cases in various fields with goods worth billions of VND have been detected, transferred to criminal prosecution, strictly handled according to regulations, and received the consensus and recognition of the people.
Besides the outstanding results, the conference also frankly pointed out the shortcomings such as: propaganda work, replication of advanced models is not regular; some units do not attach importance to the emulation movement; the evaluation and reward are sometimes formal, lacking in reality...

At the conference, Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade identified the goals for the coming period as increasing the added value of the industry to about 38,500 billion VND, export turnover to reach 9 billion USD, total retail sales of goods to reach over 270,000 billion VND by 2030...
To achieve that goal, the industry has identified emulation as a key driving force. The entire industry will promote emulation movements associated with key tasks such as: developing platform industries, improving market management efficiency, supporting businesses in digital transformation, promoting domestic consumption and expanding exports.
