Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade announced the decision to establish the Market Management Department.
On the afternoon of March 20, the Department of Industry and Trade held a conference to announce decisions on the organization and personnel work of the Market Management Department.
Attending were comrade Pham Van Hoa - Director of Department of Industry and Trade, along with representatives of relevant departments and branches.
On March 10, 2025, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 705/QD-UBND on the establishment of the Nghe An Provincial Market Management Department under the Department of Industry and Trade.
Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee decided to establish the Nghe An Provincial Market Management Department under the Department of Industry and Trade on the basis of receiving the original status of the Nghe An Provincial Market Management Department from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, from March 10, 2025. The Nghe An Provincial Market Management Department has legal status, its own seal, headquarters and account in accordance with the provisions of law.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Director of the Department of Industry and Trade to coordinate with relevant agencies and units to receive the current status of the organization, payroll, personnel, budget, assets, tools, equipment, etc. related to the time of handover according to the direction of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. At the same time, the Department of Industry and Trade was assigned to develop the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Nghe An Provincial Market Management Department according to the guidance of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and submit it to the Provincial People's Committee according to regulations.
At the announcement conference, the Chief of Office of the Department of Industry and Trade announced the appointment decision and awarded the decision to establish the Sub-department and the Sub-department's leaders. Accordingly, comrade Nguyen Van Huong was appointed as Head of the Market Management Sub-department; comrades Nguyen Hong Phong, Vo Quang Lan, Nguyen Xuan Don were appointed as Deputy Heads of the Market Management Sub-department.
On this occasion, the Market Management Department announced the decision to appoint 34 leaders of the Market Management department and team.
In his speech assigning tasks, the Director of the Department of Industry and Trade congratulated the Market Management Department on returning to the Department of Industry and Trade after 6 years under the management of the Ministry of Industry and Trade; and congratulated the appointed comrades.
He emphasized that the current market management work is very complicated, therefore, in the coming time, the collective leadership, civil servants, public employees, and workers of the Market Management Department must stabilize the organization, continue to promote the leading unit, solidarity, and high responsibility to complete the assigned tasks well. He hopes that the functional forces of the Police, Customs, Border Guard, etc., will support and accompany the Market Management force, limit the situation of counterfeit goods, protect the market, and protect the rights of consumers.
On the side of the Department of Industry and Trade leaders, we will continue to accompany and be responsible for the Market Management Department to complete its tasks, contributing to promoting production and business, and socio-economic development.
Previously, implementing the Politburo's policy and at the request of the Central Steering Committee and the Steering Committee for the arrangement and streamlining of the Government apparatus, the Ministry of Industry and Trade ended the model of the General Department of Market Management and transferred the Market Management Departments at localities to the People's Committees of provinces and cities for management.
On February 28, 2025, the Minister of Industry and Trade signed Decision No. 516 regulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development. This is a unit arranged and merged from the General Department of Market Management and the Department of Domestic Market.
