Consumer goods, goods of unknown origin, counterfeit goods, and poor quality goods.

Some new areas such as taking advantage of the development of information technology and e-commerce to trade in infringing goods and commit commercial fraud through e-commerce platforms, social network accounts such as Facebook, Zalo, etc. cause many difficulties for authorities in tracing, accurately determining actual addresses, conducting inspections and controls according to regulations.

In that situation, closely following the direction of the Government, the Prime Minister, the National Steering Committee 389, the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Steering Committee 389 issued plans and directives on stepping up the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods, and handling unusual developments in the market.

The functional forces and local authorities have seriously and promptly implemented, simultaneously launching many synchronous solutions from staff work to direct combat work. Identifying the fight against smuggling, banned goods, counterfeit goods, and trade fraud as an important political task. From December 16, 2023 to August 15, 2024, the authorities detected and handled 5,265 violations, prosecuted 1,044 cases/1,369 subjects, and collected a total of 180 billion VND for the budget.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the efforts of relevant sectors in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in recent times.

Thereby, he requested to continue to deploy synchronous solutions to more effectively implement the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in the province, according to the following solutions: Focus on inspecting the field of e-commerce more drastically in the coming time; Improve the quality of force building, the force of cadres and civil servants in charge of fighting against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods need to improve their professional qualifications in new fields such as e-commerce and intellectual property.
