BMW recalls tens of thousands of luxury cars with faulty airbags
BMW Group has just announced a recall of 34,000 vehicles worldwide, including expensive models such as the 7-Series, 5-Series GT and Rolls-Royce.
The cause was determined to be a software error that controls the airbag system's sensors to operate improperly in the event of a collision. This error can cause the airbag to not deploy or deploy incorrectly as calculated by the manufacturer, increasing the risk of passenger injury in the event of a collision.
