According to the indictment of the Hanoi People’s Court, in 2009, Hoa was imprisoned for more than 3 years for “Circulating counterfeit money”. After returning to community life, Hoa did not continue to sink deeper into the path of crime.

Because Hoa was not diligent in her work and neglected her family, the couple decided to divorce. Hoa left her two children for her husband to raise. The subject rented an apartment in Dinh Cong ward (Hoang Mai) to sell drugs and Hoa herself was also addicted to drugs.

In March 2016, through social friendship, the defendant met a woman named Hang in Ha Nam (unknown background).

In November 2016, Hoa was asked by Hang to keep a bag of drugs for her while she went to China to settle some business for a few days. Before handing it over, the woman told Hoa to sell it if anyone asked to buy it.

After taking the 8 small plastic bags that Hang sent (a total of more than 200 grams of synthetic drugs and "ice") home, Hoa carefully put them in the safe. On the afternoon of March 6, 2017, the defendant continued to go to the Lu bridge area (Dinh Cong ward, Hoang Mai) to buy a quantity of heroin and synthetic drugs from an unknown man to use and resell for profit.

That same evening, Hoa was at home when a social friend came over, and the two of them used drugs. After that, Hoa went out to buy food. At this time, a man (Hoa's social friend) appeared and came to Hoa's room to wait.

When the defendant had just brought the food home, the police force appeared to check. Hoa was forced to hand over all the drugs to the authorities. In total, this woman in her 40s had bought and sold nearly 224 grams of various drugs.

Standing alone in court, Hoa could not hold back her tears as she remembered her former family home.

Based on the above grounds, the Hanoi People's Court decided to sentence the defendant to 17 years in prison for the crime of "Illegal drug trafficking./.
