The owner of the table and chairs set said that he considered this set of tables and chairs his treasure. He hunted and acquired these green cypress logs more than 30 years ago, since he moved here. Many people offered high prices but he decided to keep them. It was not until 2013 that he decided to make this set of tables and chairs. He hired skilled workers and had to pay more than 20 million VND for the work to complete it.

The stored wood helped him complete a peach-shaped table and chair set of 8 pieces including: 1 large table, 1 side table, 01 sofa, 03 emperor chairs and 02 side chairs.

This is considered one of the unique table and chair sets in the western region of Nghe An today. Its difference is the green cypress wood. This is a rare wood species.
“There may be a lot of wood, but to find a large green cypress tree big enough to make a table or a cabinet is extremely difficult,” Mr. H added.

The table and chairs have a yellow-green color with a very distinctive scent. In particular, the scent of this wood can be detected from dozens of meters away.
When the table and chairs were just completed, many people wanted to buy it. There were customers from all the way in the South who offered to buy it at a high price, but Mr. H. did not sell.
