Provincial Military Command brings martyrs' remains back to their homeland
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 9, the Martyrs' Remains Collection Team, the Provincial Military Command, in coordination with the Quynh Luu District Military Command searched for and recovered the remains of martyr Phan Dinh Tang to return to his hometown.
Martyr Phan Dinh Tang was a sailor of the Sea Transport Company, from village 12, Co Dam commune, Nghi Xuan district, Ha Tinh; he died on June 19, 1967, when he received an order to carry goods from Hai Phong to Nghi Xuan. When Phan Dinh Tang's boat carrying goods reached the sea area of Tan Hai hamlet, Quynh Bang commune, it was shot by an American plane.

At this time, the military intelligence team and the militia team of Quynh Bang commune brought comrade Phan Dinh Tang to the commune beach for burial. Immediately after receiving the information from the military intelligence team of Quynh Bang commune, the martyrs' remains collection team, the provincial military command came to search, collect and move the martyrs' remains back to their hometown for burial according to local rituals.
