(Baonghean.vn) - In the first 6 months of the year, the Provincial Military Command mobilized thousands of officers and soldiers, tens of thousands of working days to support localities in natural disaster prevention, search and rescue. This was the assessment at the Military-Political Conference in the first 6 months of the year organized by the Party Committee and the Provincial Military Command.

In the first 6 months of 2019, the Provincial Military Command actively and proactively advised local Party committees and authorities and effectively implemented military and defense tasks, including outstanding activities such as: advising and directing districts to do a good job of preparing for defense zone drills; organizing training, education, and fostering defense and security knowledge for subjects; organizing competitions and sports events in various sectors; and implementing highly effective military recruitment.

Also in the first 6 months of the year, the Provincial Military Command mobilized more than 6,387 soldiers, militia, and reserve forces to participate in natural disaster prevention and search and rescue in the area; mobilized nearly 19,600 working days to help people clean more than 10,200m of village roads and alleys; dug 1,200 tree planting holes, dredged 9,500m of intra-field canals; poured 850m of2graded road; build 1,500m2 cultural house fence; planting 7,000m of trees, inter-commune flower carpets; giving 5,000 national flags to fishermen at sea and tens of thousands of working days to help localities in the area.
In Nam Giai commune (Que Phong), the provincial army force built 1.1 km of irrigation pipeline for the people, renovated 3.3 hectares of rice fields... Notably, 7/17 women's associations of the provincial military agencies established sister-religious areas, and adopted 40 orphans in Bo Son parish, Nghi Loc district.

In addition, implementing the project to help Laos, the Provincial Military Command has used many solutions and methods to support the provinces bordering Nghe An to improve their knowledge and apply information technology in performing tasks and developing the economy and society; organized the search, collection and consultation for the Provincial Special Working Group to receive and move the remains of 98 martyrs who died in Laos to be buried at the Nghi Loc District Martyrs' Cemetery. The logistics, technical and financial work ensures the tasks.

In the first 6 months of the year, the Provincial Military Command was recognized by Military Region 4 as an excellent unit in performing military and defense tasks.
