Nghe An Provincial Military Command deploys flood prevention plans
(Baonghean.vn) - This afternoon (September 23), under the chairmanship of Colonel Dinh Bat Van - Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command, the Nghe An Provincial Military Command held an online conference to deploy flood prevention and control tasks in the province.
There are 22 participating points including: Central command point, 19 points in districts, towns and cities and 2 points in Mat Island and Ngu Island.

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, in the coming days, the provinces from Thanh Hoa to Quang Tri will have moderate rain, heavy rain, and some areas will have very heavy rain, accompanied by strong winds, with the risk of flooding, flash floods, and landslides in some districts in the province.

In the face of the above situation, the Nghe An Provincial Military Command requests agencies and units to continue to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the dispatches of the Military Region 4 Command and the Provincial Military Command, including strictly maintaining the on-duty regime at all levels; closely monitor the situation and developments of floods in the area, check and review plans, consolidate forces and means; adjust and supplement response plans in accordance with the specific conditions of each unit. Proactively deploy measures to ensure the safety of barracks, warehouses, stations, equipment, means, and activities of troops; Prepare adequate food and provisions for troops and be ready to help the people.

Advise local authorities to proactively respond, promote the "4 on-the-spot" motto. Check and review dams that may have incidents, areas at risk of flash floods, landslides. Proactively arrange forces and means in key areas and be ready to join the locality in evacuating and moving people out of dangerous areas. Check and preserve means and materials for natural disaster prevention, search and rescue, and be ready with forces, means and materials to perform tasks when situations arise./.
