The Provincial Military Command draws experience from the 2022 Provincial Defense and Civil Defense Area Exercise
(Baonghean.vn) - This afternoon (September 7), under the chairmanship of Colonel Phan Dai Nghia - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for the Exercise, the Provincial Military Command held a conference to review experiences in the 2022 provincial defense and civil defense exercise. Attending the conference were Colonel Pham Van Dong - Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command and comrades in the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, heads of the Provincial Military Command.
In 2022, Nghe An province was assigned by the Military Region 4 Command to organize a provincial defense and civil defense exercise. Two large-scale exercises were conducted at the same time, with many forces, vehicles, and units participating, and the nature of the exercise tasks of each locality was different. There is not much experience in organizing provincial-level civil defense exercises. The Covid-19 epidemic is still potentially complicated, the weather is unfavorable, affecting the progress of the preparation work for the exercise.
However, after a period of active, urgent, and highly responsible preparation, over 2.5 days and nights (August 29 to 31), practicing seriously and in accordance with regulations, the Nghe An Province Defense and Civil Defense Area Exercise was assessed by the Military Region 4 Exercise Steering Committee as having excellently completed its mission, as intended, close to reality, ensuring absolute safety for people, weapons, and equipment.
In the spirit of frank experience sharing, the discussions at the conference pointed out the advantages and some limitations in the preparation and practice of the drill.

Concluding the conference, Colonel Phan Dai Nghia - Commander of the Provincial Military Command praised the spirit of solidarity and determination in leadership and command; the efforts and community responsibility in performing the tasks of officers and soldiers of agencies and units.
At the same time, the Commander of the Provincial Military Command also pointed out a number of contents to continue implementing in the coming time, in which the focus is to continue reviewing, supplementing and completing the combat readiness document system, proactively coordinating forces to grasp the local situation, especially key areas of national defense and security, special areas; deploying flood and storm prevention plans, rescue and relief during the rainy and stormy season. After the drill, agencies and units need to seriously organize experience sharing, point out existing limitations and causes to promptly adjust and supplement the content and training program in the coming time and the following years; thereby improving the quality of training, drills as well as the quality of local military and defense work of the province. Organize the recovery of weapons, technical equipment, materials and organize preservation and maintenance according to regulations. Strengthening education and training on national defense and security knowledge for cadres, party members and people, raising sense of responsibility and revolutionary vigilance to prevent peaceful evolution and violent overthrow plots of hostile forces, avoiding surprises in any situation; Building a strong all-people national defense posture associated with a strong people's security posture.
