(Baonghean.vn) - In order to proactively respond to storm No. 10 forecast to make landfall in Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces, on the afternoon of September 13, a working delegation of Military Region 4 led by Colonel Ha Tho Binh - Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 4 inspected the deployment and response work to storm No. 10 of the Nghe An Provincial Military Command.

Immediately after receiving the telegrams from Military Region 4 and the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Military Command fully grasped and deployed all preparations seriously, closely and specifically.

Up to now, the Provincial Military Command has issued a telegram directing agencies and units to strictly maintain the duty and combat duty regime, regularly monitor and update the situation and direction of storm No. 10, and deploy measures to ensure the safety of barracks and warehouses. At the same time, inspect key areas, works and dams in the area, advise local Party committees and authorities to prepare response measures, prepare forces and means to participate in evacuating people in dangerous areas to safe places, carry out rescue work when required, and deploy units to reinforce houses, trees, and military works.

Along with that, the Provincial Military Command has deployed the Military Commands of coastal districts and towns to coordinate with Border Guard stations to notify, warn and guide fishermen on shelter measures and ensure safety of vehicles operating at sea.

Concluding the inspection, Colonel Ha Tho Binh highly appreciated the preparation work and proactive implementation of plans to respond to storm No. 10.

He requested the Nghe An Provincial Military Command to proactively monitor and grasp the situation, prepare vehicles and forces to mobilize when required; advise the Party Committee and authorities to take the highest response measures to possible situations; proactively inspect dams, rivers, and key points, and be ready to evacuate people if necessary. In addition, closely coordinate with forces to proactively respond to possible situations, minimizing damage caused by storm No. 10.
