(Baonghean.vn) - On March 11, Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Ngoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security led a working delegation of the Ministry of Public Security to inspect and evaluate the initial results of the implementation of the project "National Database on Population and Project on Production, Issuance and Management of Citizen Identification Cards" at the Public Security of Thanh Hoa, Quang Binh, Ha Tinh and Nghe An provinces.

Working with the delegation of the Ministry of Public Security were comrades: Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee: Le Hong Vinh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Major General Vo Trong Hai - Director of the Provincial Police.

At the meeting, the leaders of the provincial police reported the initial results of the "campaign" to make Citizen Identification Cards. The propaganda work was well coordinated and organized, and mobile Citizen Identification Card (CCCD) issuance teams were established for the people, thereby attracting the participation of a large number of people.

During the implementation process, there were initially many difficulties such as unstable equipment, fingerprints of many people were difficult to scan, especially in some districts in mountainous and border areas, the rate of people coming to make CCCD was still low.

In Nghe An alone, the Provincial Police have arranged and increased 176 computers to serve the issuance of ID cards in the whole province, averaging 278 records/01 computer/01 day; Police units all arranged 3 working groups.closed all day and nightAt the conference, the police units shared experiences and ways to overcome shortcomings and difficulties in the initial stages of implementing the electronic chip-embedded ID card.

Speaking at the conference, the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee of Nghe An province affirmed that they will regularly pay attention to and direct Party committees at all levels to actively coordinate with the Nghe An Police force in the process of making CCCD at the grassroots level, investing in means and machinery to improve productivity and efficiency of making CCCD.

Concluding the conference, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc requested that the process of making mobile ID cards at the grassroots level needs to study and grasp the population structure of each region to arrange and allocate reasonable working time, not to let people wait too long. Provincial Police Directors and District Police Chiefs need to increase their visits to the grassroots level, especially in remote areas, to inspect, guide and motivate officers and soldiers to perform their duties.

The Deputy Minister of Public Security also requested the Provincial Police to speed up and improve the quality of ensuring Population Data, contributing significantly to the process of building e-Government, reforming administrative procedures, and improving the quality of State management of population, security and order.

There are 2 fingerprint scanners installed here, working continuously from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day. On average, the team in Hung Nguyen makes more than 500 ID card applications every day.
