Russian Foreign Ministry comments on 'US concept of countering Russia'
Commenting on the statement of the Director of the US Agency for International Development, the Information and Publication Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry stated: Washington politicians are trying to prevent the normalization of Russia-US relations and are even seeking to further destroy them.

On July 4 and 5, the head of the US Agency for International Development (USAID), Mark Green, discussed with G7 representatives in Paris a document called “Concept for Countering Malign Kremlin Influence (CMKI)”.
The document lists the areas that the initiative will focus on: democratic institutions and the rule of law, independent media, energy independence, economic independence. Moldova and Ukraine are mentioned several times as examples.
“The official agenda outlined by a senior official of the current US administration is disappointing. It is completely out of step with the constructive tone of the recent meeting between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump at the G20 Summit in Osaka, Japan.
Obviously, highly influential officials in Washington are trying to find every way to prevent the normalization of Russia-US relations, further destroying this relationship" - the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation commented.
