Russian Foreign Ministry Responds to US Threats on 'Nord Stream 2'
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova commented on the US sanctions against Nord Stream 2 and the second branch of Turkish Stream 2, calling the move an immoral use of political pressure for competition.
On Wednesday, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced that the US State Department has published recommendations within the framework of the law on countering Russia through sanctions, including two projects "Nord Stream 2" and the second branch of "Turkish Stream 2" in this law.

“This is the use of political pressure for the purposes of unfair competition,” Zakharova told Sputnik, commenting on the situation.
This is “an indicator of the weakness of the American system,” she added.
"There are no more effective tools except the use of violence," - concluded the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
