Russian Foreign Ministry: The West is hindering the formation of a polycentric world
There are clearer "multiple voices" at the United Nations, new centers of political influence and economic growth have emerged in the world, while the West is hindering the formation of a polycentric world, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
The Russian Foreign Minister added that with the onset of the multipolar era taking shape, new centers of economic growth, financial power and political influence have emerged.
“Realizing that their arguments are becoming more and more vulnerable, because the line they are pursuing is aimed at slowing down the processes of forming a polycentric world in full compliance with the UN Charter, the Western collective considers it more beneficial for them to take the discussion of current issues outside the framework of global organizations to negotiate in private circles, where no one will argue with them,” Lavrov said in a program on the Rossiya-24 channel.

Western negotiation culture
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said he was disappointed with the West's culture of negotiation and diplomacy.
"This is an unscrupulous approach. In general, I am disappointed by the large and significant decline in the culture of negotiation and diplomatic culture of the West. No matter what topic is put on the international agenda, the West shows impotence or lies," said Sergei Lavrov.
Sergei Lavrov added that in the context of the Normandy format talks, Western partners are trying to present Russia as a party to the conflict in eastern Ukraine, citing its “constructive double meaning”.
