The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is ready to closely coordinate with Nghe An on foreign affairs.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Ho Phuc Hop - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of leaders of departments and the Provincial Party Committee Office, the Provincial People's Committee Office; Department of Foreign Affairs, Provincial Religious Committee and the Standing Committee of the Ky Son District Party Committee.

With the attention and support of the Politburo, the Government, the Foreign Affairs Committee, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2017, the Provincial Party Committee and Party committees at all levels focused on leading and directing foreign affairs work to achieve comprehensive results on all three main pillars: Party foreign affairs, State diplomacy, and people's diplomacy, contributing to promoting the combined strength and completing 27/27 socio-economic targets.

Speaking at the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh respectfully thanked Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son and the delegation for their visit and work in Nghe An as well as their help and support for the province in carrying out foreign affairs; at the same time, he informed about some contents related to foreign affairs and the implementation of policies and regulations of superiors on foreign affairs of Nghe An.

In particular, the relationship between Nghe An and many provinces of Laos, especially the provinces sharing the border, is closely coordinated, increasingly developed, and cooperates in many fields. Leaders of both sides have regular exchanges every year, contributing to fostering the special solidarity and friendship between the two countries. The exchange, trade and communication activities of the two peoples are increasingly developing.

On the other hand, the province has also established sister cities and maintained regular cooperative relations with a number of localities such as Gifu (Japan), Ulyanovsk (Russian Federation)... In addition, implementing economic diplomacy, Nghe An has promoted and attracted investment from other countries, especially in East Asia and Southeast Asia. "Foreign affairs activities have provided considerable support for attracting foreign investment into the province" - Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh affirmed.

The province also tries to seriously implement policies and regulations of superiors on foreign affairs in the spirit of thrift and efficiency.

"The province hopes that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to pay attention and support the good performance of foreign affairs tasks, so as to make practical contributions to the country's general foreign affairs activities" - the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized.

At the meeting, the delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Nghe An province exchanged and shared experiences in foreign affairs and Party building, especially in implementing Resolutions of the 4th and 6th Central Committees (12th tenure).

Nghe An also made a number of recommendations and proposals to Deputy Minister Bui Thanh Son and the working delegation, such as introducing foreign enterprises and capable non-governmental organizations to invest and provide aid to the province; supporting the appraisal of legal status and financial capacity of foreign organizations and enterprises cooperating to invest in the province; supporting training for officials working in foreign affairs of the province...

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Bui Thanh Son reported on the highlights of our country's foreign affairs in 2017, especially the successful performance of the hosting role through the organization of APEC Year 2017, including the APEC High-Level Week 2017 in Da Nang.

In that common success, the Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs highly appreciated the contribution of Nghe An in coordinating with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the APEC Secretariat to successfully organize the 11th Senior Officials Meeting on Disaster Management.

Highly appreciating the results of Nghe An's foreign affairs activities, comrade Bui Thanh Son affirmed that the coordination between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Nghe An province through the provincial Department of Foreign Affairs is increasingly close, reflected in the coordination of managing outgoing and incoming delegations; socio-economic development, investment and trade promotion; connection with domestic and foreign enterprises and national defense and security protection; border and territorial management.

Deputy Minister Bui Thanh Son suggested that the province continue to do well in border management and protection, continue to build a peaceful, friendly, stable, cooperative and developing border with Laos; build relations with localities of Laos; continue to do well in all aspects of foreign affairs, especially in the field of foreign affairs serving socio-economic development such as: promoting, calling for investment attraction, exporting labor...

Informing that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is ready to further coordinate with the province on all aspects of foreign affairs, Deputy Minister Bui Thanh Son assigned the Department of Foreign Affairs to work with the province through the Department of Foreign Affairs to unify key contents that need support and cooperation to have a specific implementation plan.

Regarding Party building work, after listening to reports from relevant departments and branches, especially on the implementation of Central Resolutions 4 and 6 (12th tenure), the Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs assessed that the implementation experience shared by the province was very useful, especially the issue of streamlining the payroll and reducing focal points, thereby streamlining the organization and apparatus of the political system to be streamlined, operating effectively and efficiently to better serve political tasks.

On this occasion, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs donated 100 million VND to support poor students overcoming difficulties in Ky Son district./.
