Ministry of National Defense offers incense at Vietnam - Laos International Martyrs Cemetery
(Baonghean.vn) - Today, July 21, a working delegation of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense led by Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, offered incense and flowers at the Vietnam - Laos International Martyrs' Cemetery.

In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, the delegation observed a minute of silence to commemorate the heroic martyrs, expressing deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed themselves for the cause of protecting the Fatherland, for the noble and steadfast international friendship between Vietnam and Laos, and vowed to follow in the footsteps of the previous generation to overcome all difficulties, strive to fulfill assigned tasks, and contribute to building an increasingly prosperous country.

Towards the 75th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, the entire army organized a peak emulation campaign with the theme "When drinking water, remember its source, show gratitude to those who have contributed to the revolution", organizing many meaningful activities such as: the entire army deployed the construction of 1,769 gratitude houses with a total amount of over 141 billion VND, presented 505 savings books with a total amount of over 5 billion VND; supported, presented silk clothes, presented gifts to 1,489 heroic Vietnamese mothers; examined, treated and provided free medicine to nearly 13,000 policy beneficiaries, visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiaries with a total amount of tens of billions of VND.
On this occasion, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army hopes that families of policy beneficiaries and war invalids in Anh Son district will always promote the traditions of their homeland, family and the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", and be a shining example for the younger generation to learn and follow./.
