Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army and Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee inspected evacuation points and key sea dikes.
On the morning of August 25, after a meeting at the Forward Command Headquarters, Major General Nguyen Ba Luc - Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army inspected evacuation points and key coastal dykes in Nghe An province before the storm made landfall.
Also attending were comrades: Nguyen Duc Trung - Provincial Party Secretary; Hoang Phu Hien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and members of the working delegation of the Ministry of National Defense, Nghe An province.
The delegation visited and encouraged people who were evacuating at Dien Chau Primary School.
Here, the Party Committee and government evacuated 62 households, 177 people, mainly the elderly and children.
Dien Chau commune's evacuation plan is to evacuate 700 households, about more than 2,000 people, to safe places such as schools, offices, high-rise buildings, and solid houses.

The Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army and the Provincial Party Secretary kindly visited the people at the evacuation site; encouraged people to temporarily live in peace, wait for the storm to pass so they can return home to ensure safety. The Party Committee and government will provide enough necessities, food, and drinking water for the people.

The Provincial Party Secretary also requested the Party Committee and government of Dien Chau commune to ensure all necessary conditions for people's daily life, especially taking good care of the health of the elderly and sick people.
At the same time, continue to review unsafe areas to evacuate people to shelters, the highest principle is to ensure maximum safety for people first and foremost.

Next, the delegation directly inspected the sea dike in Dien Chau commune. This dike is predicted to be affected when storm No. 5 makes landfall.


The Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army and the Provincial Party Secretary requested the authorities and forces to be on duty at key points and prepare supplies to have a rescue plan in case of an incident.

Up to this point, Nghe An province is mobilizing the entire political system at all levels to relocate and evacuate people at key points and dangerous areas to safe places at headquarters, schools...
