Minister of Foreign Affairs offers flowers and incense at Kim Lien Relic Site
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 20, comrade Bui Thanh Son - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Foreign Affairs and a working delegation visited the Kim Lien National Special Relic Site (Nam Dan) to offer flowers and incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh.

Also attending were comrade Pham Quang Hieu - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; leaders of the Party Committee, Trade Union of the Ministry, National Border Committee, departments, offices and heads of representative agencies of Vietnam abroad.

In a sacred and respectful atmosphere, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son and the delegation offered flowers and incense to commemorate and express their infinite gratitude and deep respect for President Ho Chi Minh.
President Ho Chi Minh was a genius leader and outstanding diplomat who founded modern Vietnamese diplomacy. His diplomatic ideology encompasses the principles, content, methods, styles and art of diplomacy.

President Ho Chi Minh promoted fundamental national rights, including national independence associated with socialism, national sovereignty, territorial integrity, national unity, peace and resistance to aggressive wars.
He emphasized that diplomacy “must always serve the interests of the nation”; independence, autonomy, self-reliance, and self-strengthening must be closely linked to international solidarity and cooperation. Ho Chi Minh’s diplomacy is the skillful application of “5 knowledges”: Know yourself, know others, know the times, know when to stop, and know when to change.

During his working program in Nghe An, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son attended the Conference to review 10 years of implementing the Resolution of the 8th Central Committee (11th tenure) on "Strategy for protecting the Fatherland in the new situation" organized by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee this morning and worked with the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and leaders of the People's Committee of Nghe An province in the afternoon of the same day.
