Military Region 4 Command congratulates Nghe An Border Guard on Border Guard's traditional day

(Baonghean.vn) - On March 1, a working delegation of the Party Committee and Command of Military Region 4 led by Major General Nguyen Sy Hoi - Deputy Commander of Military Region 4 visited and congratulated officers and soldiers of the Provincial Border Guard on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of "People's Border Guard Day" (March 3, 1989 - March 3, 2017), the 58th anniversary of the establishment of the Border Guard force (March 3, 1959 - March 3, 2017).

Major General Nguyen Sy Hoi warmly praised the achievements of the provincial border guards in the past time. At the same time, he requested the border guards to always unite and closely coordinate with the forces of Military Region 4 and local authorities to firmly protect the sovereignty and security of the border in all situations.

The Provincial Border Guard Commander reported to the delegation on some of the achievements in the past year. Notably, the work of firmly protecting territorial sovereignty, border security, and sea areas; effectively fighting against all types of crimes; actively participating in socio-economic development, building new rural areas, and reducing poverty in the locality. At the same time, the Provincial Border Guard Commander also thanked the Party Committee and the Military Region 4 Command for their regular attention and direction and promised to promote the achieved results and strive to excellently complete all assigned tasks.

On this occasion, many agencies, departments, unions, and twinned units came to present flowers to congratulate the 58th anniversary of the Border Guard's tradition and the 28th anniversary of the People's Border Guard Day at the Provincial Border Guard Command.
