Hanoi Capital Command has new Commander
On November 21, Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai and Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense chaired a conference to hand over the duties of Commander of the Hanoi Capital Command.

In the presence of leaders of Hanoi city and the Ministry of National Defense, Major General Nguyen Doan Anh - former Commander of the Capital Command and Major General Nguyen Hong Thai - Commander of the Capital Command officially signed the Minutes of handover of duties as Commander of the Hanoi Capital Command.
Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Nguyen Doan Anh emphasized that he always feels honored and proud to take on the role of Commander of the Capital Command. During more than 20 years working at the Capital Command, he has always received attention, timely leadership, direction, coordination, and facilitation from the Hanoi Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, departments, branches, agencies, units, and localities to carry out his tasks.
Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Nguyen Hong Thai - Commander of the Capital Command promised to make efforts and work with the officers and soldiers of the Capital Command to promote tradition, successfully complete the tasks assigned by the Party, State, Ministry of National Defense and the city, promote the responsibilities and tasks in each assigned position, strive to build a comprehensively strong armed force of the Capital, successfully complete all tasks.

Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang thanked the Hanoi Party Committee for creating favorable conditions for the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense to carry out personnel work smoothly, as well as for training and fostering military officers to increasingly mature and develop, and be appointed to higher positions by the Ministry of National Defense, including comrade Nguyen Doan Anh.
Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang also believes that the new Commander of the Capital Command, Nguyen Hong Thai, together with the officers and soldiers of the unit, will maintain solidarity, stability, develop the unit, and achieve higher achievements.
On behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of the Capital, congratulating Major General Nguyen Doan Anh, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Capital Command Hoang Trung Hai hopes that Major General Nguyen Doan Anh will not disappoint the trust of the Central Military Commission, the Minister of National Defense and the Hanoi Party Committee, and will continue to achieve greater achievements in his new position.
