Naval Region 3 Command sees off reporters on assignment at Con Co and Ly Son islands.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 5, the Naval Region 3 Command held a meeting to see off reporters from press agencies before they set off to work on the islands of Con Co (Quang Tri) and Ly Son (Quang Ngai).
Attending the meeting were Colonel Nguyen Quoc Quang - Deputy Commander of Naval Region 3; Colonel Nguyen Trong Hoa - Deputy Chief of Staff of Naval Region 3 and 34 reporters from central and local press agencies.

At the meeting, Colonel Nguyen Trong Hoa - Deputy Chief of Staff of Naval Region 3, thoroughly explained the route and some regulations to ensure security and safety for Tet greeting activities and work at units under the Navy.Naval Region 3stationed on Con Co and Ly Son islands.

Naval Region 3 was established on October 26, 1975, is a combat unit under the Navy with the core political mission of constantly improving training levels, combat readiness and winning battles; firmly managing and protecting the sovereignty of the sea along the length of 7 provinces and cities of the Central Coast from Deo Ngang (Quang Binh) to Cu Lao Xanh (Binh Dinh); the islands along the North Central Coast and the Hoang Sa archipelago.
At the same time, be ready to mobilize to support the protection of Truong Sa archipelago, DK1 as well as key sea areas and other sudden missions when ordered by superiors.
In 2022, Naval Region 3 successfully completed the assigned tasks, with many tasks completed excellently. During the year, Naval Region 3 was honored to have 01 collective awarded the Emulation Flag of the Ministry of National Defense; 02 collectives awarded the Emulation Flag of the Navy Command and thousands of collectives and individuals were commended at all levels. Firmly protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland, maintaining a peaceful and stable environment at sea, truly being a solid support for fishermen to go offshore and stick to the sea.

During this working trip, the delegation of the Naval Region 3 Command transferred 280 gifts, 100 blankets, 400 books with a total value of nearly 500 million VND along with necessary necessities to serve military units stationed on Con Co Island, Ly Son Island and local people to celebrate the traditional New Year.
Immediately after the meeting, ship KN 390 departed from Da Nang Military Port to take the working delegation to Con Co island district (Quang Tri province).
