Ready for the voyage to the outpost islands of the Fatherland
On the morning of January 9, the Naval Region 3 Command held a meeting to see off a group of reporters from press agencies before they set off to work on the two islands of Con Co (Quang Tri) and Ly Son (Quang Ngai). Before that, many meaningful activities were carried out towards the voyage to bring a warm Tet to the islands of the Fatherland.

Activities to visit and wish Tet to officers, soldiers and people intwo islands Con Co (Quang Tri) and Ly Son (Quang Ngai)organized by the Naval Region 3 Command at the end of the lunar year every year.
This is a major activity of profound political and social significance, aiming to arouse the sentiments, awareness and responsibility of local Party committees, authorities, people and agencies, organizations and enterprises in preserving the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
This is also an activity that contributes significantly to the country's socio-economic development, defense and security strategy. Thereby affirming the integrity of national sovereignty at sea and promoting socialization, mobilizing all resources for the sea and islands, encouraging localities across the country to turn towards the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

Participating in this working group are: Nearly 50 reporters from 35 central, military and local press agencies, including Nghe An Newspaper.
The voyage is scheduled to take place from January 9, 2025 to January 12, 2025. Colonel Pham Dinh Thanh - Standing Member of the Party Committee, Deputy Political Commissar of the Region will be the Head of the Working Group. Ship 390 - Naval Region 3 will take the working group to the locations as planned.

At the meeting, representatives of Naval Region 3 briefed on the route and some regulations to ensure security and safety for Tet greeting activities and work at units of Naval Region 3 stationed on Con Co and Ly Son islands.
At the same time, we hope that with their feelings and responsibilities, journalists will promptly and truthfully and vividly reflect the lives of the military and civilians on the two islands. From there, we will spread the message of protecting the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland as well as making determined efforts to fulfill the tasks of the Navy in the new situation.

Naval Region 3 was established on October 26, 1975, is a combat unit under the Navy with the core political mission of constantly improving training levels, combat readiness and winning battles; firmly managing and protecting the sovereignty of the sea along the length of 7 provinces and cities of the Central Coast from Deo Ngang (Quang Binh) to Cu Lao Xanh (Binh Dinh); the islands along the North Central Coast and the Hoang Sa archipelago.
At the same time, be ready to mobilize to carry out unexpected missions; maintain a peaceful and stable environment at sea, and maintain friendship with countries in the region.
During nearly 50 years of building, fighting and growing, generations of officers and soldiers in Naval Region 3 have built a glorious tradition: "Proactive, united, coordinated, mastering the sea, determined to fight, determined to win".
Summing up the 2024 Determined to Win emulation movement, Navy Region 3 was awarded the Emulation Flag by the Ministry of National Defense, 2 units were awarded the Emulation Flag of the Navy Command, 42 units were awarded the title "Determined to Win Unit", 2 collectives and 5 individuals were awarded the title of the most outstanding in the Navy.
On this occasion, Naval Region 3, with the attention of local Party committees, authorities, unions, organizations, businesses and individuals accompanying Region 3, has done a good job of preparation. At the same time, it directly transported Tet gifts from the Ministry of National Defense, the Navy, the Region Command and agencies and units under the Region to officers, soldiers and forces performing tasks on the two outpost islands of Con Co and Ly Son and the forces on duty at sea.
The gifts not only have material significance but also show concern, encouragement and sharing with officers, soldiers and people on the country's important islands.
On the afternoon of January 8, all goods, food, necessities, and Tet gifts from the mainland were transported onto ships with the aim of helping officers, soldiers, and people of Con Co and Ly Son islands to have a full and warm Tet.
Immediately after the meeting, Ship 390 - Naval Region 3 departed from Da Nang Military Port to take the working delegation to Con Co island district (Quang Tri province).
