(Baonghean.vn) - Come to Thung May Lake this season, we cannot help but be amazed by the beautiful lake hidden behind layers of fallen yellow leaves. Thung May is not only the pride of the people of Quy Hop (Nghe An) but also leaves behind many feelings of love and nostalgia for anyone who once "dropped" a glance here.

As a highlight in the heart of the town, Thung May Lake has an area of nearly 13 hectares. The lake not only contributes to creating a beautiful, poetic landscape but also acts as a "lung" to regulate the ecological environment for the central area of the district. |

This area was formerly called Tung Khoong (in Thai), originally a dense area of all kinds of bamboo and rattan, and was covered in clouds all year round. Photo: Vo Ngoc Son |

By 1975, the government and people of Quy Hop decided to renovate this area. After 103 days and nights of mobilizing thousands of district workers to dig the land and build a dam, the lake was completed in 1975. |
Since then, Thung May Lake has become a landscape and a famous place of the district. This has become a familiar destination every day for the people of the district town. |
The cool water source is home to rows of lush, ancient trees. In this season, when the leaves gradually turn a lush yellow, it creates a poetic and heartbreaking scene. |
The lake has a special feature that the water source never runs dry because the underground water source is always stable. |
Next to the lake are famous cool and sweet chè shops, this place becomes an ideal stop for people after a tiring day of work. |
Enjoying a cup of crushed green tea (pounded green tea, taken to get the juice) next to the clear blue water, the rippling surface of Thung May lake leaves an unforgettable impression on anyone who has ever set foot here. |
It is not difficult to come across simple images associated with the lives of local people here. |
