Vietnamese football honored at AFC Special Award
At the 2023 AFC Annual Awards ceremony held in Seoul, South Korea (on the evening of October 29), the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) received the AFC President's Award for Youth Football 2023 - Bronze Category.

Before being honored with the Member Association of the Year award at the AFC Annual Awards 2023, Vietnamese football was also honored at the AFC Special Award for Youth Football and the AFC Special Award for Youth Football.
On the individual side, the Coach of the Year award went to Go Oiwa - Head Coach of the Japanese U23 team - with the title of 2024 AFC U23 Championship champion. Son Heung-min was the best male international player in Asia in 2024. Ellie Carpenter (Australia) was the best female international player in Asia.
Akram Afif (Qatar) was the best male player in Asia, while Kiko Seike (Japan) received this award in the women's category./.
