Located about 8km northeast of Vinh city center, Hung Hoa mangrove forest is a rich primeval forest with a diverse ecosystem of flora and fauna. This is considered a green lung, protecting the dyke system against saltwater intrusion, erosion, and natural disasters. The forest has an area of over 70ha, 4km long, 300m wide in some places, bordering Lam river on the outside, and dyke 42 on the inside. |
