After the first case appeared on July 30 in Thanh Vinh 2 hamlet, Nghi Quang commune, up to now, in Nghi Loc district, dengue fever outbreaks continue to appear in the communes: Nghi Quang, Nghi Truong, Nghi Thinh, Nghi Dien and Nghi Phuong, bringing the total number of cases in the district to 15. Of which, Nghi Quang commune has the most 9 cases; Nghi Truong 2 cases; Nghi Thinh 1 case; Nghi Phuong 1 case; Nghi Dien 1 case.

To control the widespread spread of the epidemic, Nghi Loc Health Department and localities have drastically implemented solutions such as: Deploying a campaign to prevent dengue fever: Organizing chemical spraying for 50 households adjacent to the epidemic area in Nghi Quang commune; mobilizing the entire population to clean up the environment, clear sewers and drainage ditches, clear trees, and kill mosquitoes.
Doctor Tran Van Truc - Director of Nghi Loc Medical Center said: "Currently, the center assigns officers in charge of communes to work with health stations to strengthen monitoring and inspection of epidemic prevention work in each commune, hamlet, and residential area; organizes instructions for people to do a good job of environmental sanitation, killing larvae, and spraying insecticide.

At the same time, propagate people to release fish in stagnant water points, water containers, keep the living environment clean; sleep under mosquito nets to avoid mosquito bites even during the day, spray chemicals to kill mosquitoes. Instruct people on how to clean and prevent and control epidemics effectively, immediately notify the commune health station when detecting people suspected of having the disease to promptly detect and handle outbreaks.
