The spirit of the Nghe Tinh Soviet not only accompanied our people in overcoming countless difficulties and challenges to achieve glorious victories in the struggle for national independence, but also continued to achieve victories in the comprehensive renovation of our homeland and country. In Nghe An, this is even more clearly demonstrated.
Memories of a glorious era
It can be affirmed that,Nghe Tinh SovietThis event marked the beginning of the working class and peasantry's struggle under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, signifying a fundamental shift from spontaneous to conscious struggle within the Vietnamese workers' movement.
At the same time, it affirms the correctness of the Vietnamese nation's choice of the revolutionary path – "To save the country and liberate the nation, there is no other way than the proletarian revolution"; and affirms the revolutionary leadership capacity of the working class and the vanguard Party.
Although it only existed for 7 months and was still in its early stages, it left a positive mark as the first worker-peasant state, unprecedented in history, fulfilling the burning aspirations for independence and freedom of a people who had lost their country and were enslaved.

The greatest achievement of the 1930-1931 revolutionary movement was the practical affirmation of the leadership and revolutionary leadership capacity of the working class through its vanguard political party, uniting with patriotic people capable of overthrowing the imperialist and feudalist regimes, liberating the nation, and bringing freedom and happiness to the people..
This was the first general rehearsal of the Vietnamese revolution under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, not only raising the issue of the worker-peasant alliance, the land issue and the peasantry, but also affirming the Party's leadership role, the issue of political struggle combined with armed struggle, gradually creating the conditions and strength for our nation to achieve the victory of the August Revolution in 1945.
Assessing the immense historical significance of the revolutionary movement of 1930-1931, President Ho Chi Minh wrote:"Although the French empire suppressed that movement in a sea of blood, the Nghe Tinh Soviet demonstrated the heroic spirit and revolutionary capacity of the Vietnamese working people. The movement, though unsuccessful, forged the forces for the later victorious August Revolution.""
More than 90 years have passed, but the spirit and heroism of the Nghe Tinh Soviet still illuminate the path of the Vietnamese revolution: national independence, land for the tiller, and advancing the country towards socialism.
Continuing the power supply circuit
The heroic fighting spirit of the Nghe Tinh Soviet was strongly promoted by the Party Committee and people of Nghe An province throughout the revolutionary periods. From the years 1932-1935, facing the brutal and savage terror of the enemy, cadres, Party members, and patriotic masses of Nghe Tinh province demonstrated the Soviet spirit, finding every way to protect and maintain the revolutionary movement and the leadership role of the Party. They continued to overcome countless difficulties and challenges, achieving great victories in the Democratic Front movement of 1936-1939; they stormed up to overthrow the colonial-feudal ruling apparatus on August 21, 1945, joining the people nationwide in bringing the August Uprising to victory, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.
Despite their bitter defeat, the French colonialists did not abandon their ambition to invade Vietnam. Recognizing Nghe An's strategic importance, the French repeatedly landed troops from the coast, but were always repelled by the people and army of Nghe An. Responding to President Ho Chi Minh's call, "We would rather sacrifice everything than lose our country or be enslaved," the people of Nghe An, under the leadership of the Party, resolutely defended and built their homeland, while simultaneously providing manpower and resources to the battlefield, defeating the French colonialists and achieving the historic victory at Dien Bien Phu that shook the world.
During the resistance war against the US, Nghe An served as both a major frontline and a rear area; simultaneously boosting production while fighting the enemy's destructive war, protecting the rear, and ensuring smooth transportation. As the birthplace of the "singing to drown out the sound of bombs" and "all for our beloved South" movements, Nghe An achieved many outstanding accomplishments, making a worthy contribution to the glorious victory of the nation – the Great Victory of Spring 1975.
Following the historic victory in the Spring of 1975, and entering a period of rebuilding their homeland to be "more decent and more beautiful" after "defeating the American invaders," the two provinces of Nghe An and Ha Tinh merged to form Nghe Tinh province. Facing the difficulties and challenges left behind by the war and the harsh natural environment, the people of Nghe An possessed the strength and intelligence of new generations, the revolutionary cultural traditions of their homeland, and the indomitable spirit of the Nghe Tinh Soviet, never retreating in the face of hardship and adversity. Standing side by side, they achieved encouraging results in the economic, cultural, and social fields, contributing to the nation's efforts to build and firmly defend the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.

If during the period 1976 - 1985Nghe An Provincial Party CommitteePromoting the building and protection of socialism; the period 1986 - 1991Gradually overcoming the socio-economic crisis, from 1991 to the present.The provincial Party committee focused on leading the reform process, initially implementing industrialization and modernization.Entering the period of reform, Nghe An has fundamental advantages but also faces many difficulties and limitations, both objective and subjective. However, with a spirit of self-reliance, self-strength, and national pride, most notably manifested in refusing to accept poverty and backwardness, it has awakened in each individual, each family, and each locality a sense of national consciousness and responsibility towards the nation to overcome itself and outdated ways of thinking and doing. From there, with unity of mind, intellect, and strength, all resources are mobilized to achieve the goal of overcoming poverty and backwardness and striving to realize the goal of a prosperous people, a strong nation, democracy, fairness, and civilization.
The overall picture of Nghe An province during the years of reform has been very positive. Socio-economic development has been relatively comprehensive, with growth rates increasing year after year, and many targets have been met or exceeded the goals set by the Provincial Party Congress Resolution. The province has basically solved the food security problem; agriculture has improved significantly, and industry has made progress; many new economic infrastructure facilities have been built; science and technology have been applied and environmental protection has been strengthened; trade, healthcare services, and foreign relations have seen improvements; culture, health, sports, job creation, and social policy implementation have made significant progress. Political security and social order have been basically maintained. People's lives have become less difficult and are gradually stabilizing; a significant portion of the population has seen improvements; the appearance of Vinh City, many towns, and rural areas has undergone many changes.
In particular, after 11 years of implementing Resolution No. 26 of the Politburo and the Resolutions of the 19th Congress of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, term 2020-2025, Nghe An has achieved remarkable results: Nghe An is gradually moving towards becoming the center of the North Central region in finance, trade, tourism, education and training, science and technology, health, culture, sports, and high-tech industry. Vinh City, along with Cua Lo town, is gradually playing the role of an economic growth pole of the province; the development of the western region is showing many positive signs. The Southeast Nghe An Economic Zone is becoming a key, multi-sectoral, multi-functional economic zone, gradually affirming its role as a driving force in attracting investment. The material, cultural, and spiritual lives of the people are gradually improving. The size of the economy ranks 10th in the country.
Investment projects have contributed to the transformation of the economic structure, promoted socio-economic development, increased budget revenue, created jobs for tens of thousands of workers, and improved people's living standards. The New Rural Development movement has achieved high results, and is one of the bright spots nationwide.
The material and spiritual lives of the people have been gradually improved, and the poverty rate has sharply decreased to 3%. Education and training continue to affirm their top position nationwide. Culture and healthcare have received attention and development, making significant progress. National defense and security have been strengthened, and social order and safety have been ensured. The grassroots democracy regulations have been given attention and implemented effectively.
Alongside focusing on economic development, the province has always prioritized Party building, building a clean and strong Party organization, achieving many important results. Effectively implementing Resolution No. 4 of the 12th Central Committee, combined with Directive No. 5 on studying and following the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh, has contributed to building a clean and strong Party, preventing and repelling the decline in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle, and the manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" within the Party, and strengthening the fight against corruption, bureaucracy, and waste. The leadership capacity and fighting strength of grassroots Party organizations and the quality of cadres and Party members have been gradually improved.
Mass mobilization is one of the tasks that the Party Committee, government, and mass organizations at all levels in Nghe An province pay special attention to. The Fatherland Front and mass organizations have gradually reformed the content and methods of their activities. The quality of activities of the grassroots organization system and the rate of membership have improved. Members are enthusiastically participating in patriotic emulation, utilizing all resources to develop socio-economic development, helping each other solve employment problems, alleviate poverty, achieve legitimate wealth, unite to build a cultural life, implement grassroots democracy, and maintain political stability and social order.
Perform the taskStudying and following the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi MinhNghe An province has implemented practical measures that have brought about positive changes. Along with studying thematic topics on President Ho Chi Minh's ideology and implementing solutions to promote economic development and poverty reduction, the province has focused on building the image of exemplary Party members with prestige among the people, reforming working styles and methods, practicing democracy, being close to the people, and regularly listening to and engaging in dialogue with the people. Party committees at all levels throughout the province have built a strong sense of unity and solidarity, upholding the responsibility of "wholeheartedly serving the people."
Unleash the impetus for innovation.
However, to date, Nghe An has not yet become a "prosperous" province as President Ho Chi Minh had hoped. Nghe An's development has not been commensurate with its potential and advantages – a province with a rich cultural and revolutionary tradition, abundant natural resources, a large workforce, and a hardworking, patriotic, and revolutionary people. Economic growth has not been high. Economic restructuring has been slow, and per capita income remains low. The poverty rate is still higher than the national average. Administrative reform has not met development requirements. The leadership capacity and fighting spirit of some grassroots Party organizations, Party members, and the activities of the government at all levels, the Fatherland Front, and other mass organizations are still limited. This has been a concern for generations of cadres and Party members in the province over many terms.
The Party Committee and people of Nghe An will uphold the traditions of their Soviet homeland, united in spirit with innovation and creativity, transforming the unwavering will of their ancestors to overcome poverty and backwardness today. To realize this determination, the Party Committee, military, and people of Nghe An province have identified several key tasks to focus on:
